May we all pray to our Creator tonight, that he may watch over the animals at the Bonham Shelter, keep them safe and free from harm until we can get citizens to be responsible for their pets and authorities to work towards a better environment for which they can live out their lives, until a wonderful home can be found for them. Thank you our Almighty Creator and all animal lovers and supporters. Bless you all

<quoted text> I am sorry that I am frustrating you. I simply went down your list of complaints and answered them. As for the Dollar Tree, that is my own observation, whereas, you, just want to bat back and forth with me, which is fine, it's freedom of speech. A self-pity party????? REALLY???? Again, alcohol brings in revenue, whether you or I drink or not, it's no different than cigarettes. Don't want to make Bonham a better place to live, so be it. That is your choice, again I started with the person in the mirror, I don't know where you started.
LOL, frustrating me? It's pretty much pointless to point out facts with people that holler and gripe about stuff they know nothing about obviously. Just keep talking to the experts at the beauty shop and coffee shop, you'll get all the answers there!

Here is the link to the most recent list of animals at the Bonham shelter. Sad to see that 8 out of 10 dogs are owner surrendered.

thanks I tend to smile a lot. I do realize you were responding to the person who was talking about the sinners. however, when someone writes, and I quote: "I guess you are without sin???", I would take that to include myself as well, since I am a "you" also. Thanks for sharing.

THANK YOU for SHARING that link. Please take note, give these animals a chance, if we can not find forever homes, the least they deserve is a shelter that will protect them and give them a home, not one that allows for a few days left to live! We CAN CHANGE this and we MUST! But I can only do that with the help of citizens and loving people. It is, a tragedy indeed that most of these listed are OWNER SURRENDER. But, they had the heart to at least take them somewhere, where they felt they had a chance to find a forever home. They did NOT DUMP them somewhere! They may or may not realize what goes on in the Bonham Shelter, or how long these animals will have, but they were trying to do the right thing. Our city needs to step up and provide a No Kill facility, staying in contact with shelters from all over, work together for the sake of these animals who have NO VOICE. However, Bonham's shelter is not this way, it is not a loving, clean safe place for them. Please come to our shelter, check it out, then tell me that we should not do something about that prison! Another part of my hope is to go after citizens who are NOT responsible, who let their animals run freely, only to be hit by a car or whatever. This is a two part equation and it can be fixed with cooperation from the city council and county commissioners as well.

This is NOT a JOKING matter. You need to see and watch Jimmy with these animals, how he interacts with them, what he does for them, pretty much NOTHING. Or for that matter is assistant as well. And we pay these two men! For WHAT?

Well, that's one of the differences that you have with me and most others. I can pretty much follow a discussion and determine a comment was directed to the post right before it.

Sounds like we pay them to eat the animals!!!

Maybe we pay them to get all the strays picked up so they aren't running around loose in town and getting on other people's properties or biting someone. Maybe we pay them to go pick up dead animals wherever. I don't think their main job description is to sit at the shelter all day and constantly clean animals.

I'll give you that on paying them to pick them up, but we have two of them, hours of operation: Mon-Sat., 8:00-5:00. But unless you go on Wed. or Sat. you are not getting in unless in the off chance one of them is there for something, like Thursday, the day they kill the animals. If you want in you have to call the police dept., who then must get a hold of Jimmy, who may or may not call you back that day or any day. What good is a shelter for people to adopt if you can't get in? People adopting come when it is convenient for them not for Jimmy and Freddie.
