Disability Fakers

I think you should call the toll free hotline & report this person, but first you should take some photos of them doing all those things you mentioned. Just casually hang out in your own yard & snap a few one weekend when they aren't noticing.
If they have nothing to hide then great. If they are scamming the system then your photos will help prove their scam.

I'm a cancer survivor who is struggling to make a living. I can no longer stand up,work or play with my grandchildren. It's taken me 9 yrs & still waiting for disability. I'll probably die before I get the first payment.

There are times I go without medication because of lack of money or I already got my 5 allotment from TnCare. When you're on nearly 20 meds a day just to survive 5 is just a tiny drop in the bucket of life.

Our family helps pay our electric bill. We don't get food stamps because I don't want everyone looking into our lives just to put food on the table. We do the best we can, but without our families help I don't think we'd be warm right now as our lights would not be on.

There are many forms of disability, some are not physical, they cannot be seen. But I for one do not see drug abuse as a disability. That is something that someone does to themselves, by their own hand, their own choice. They made the decision to take drugs, therefore I cannot understand our country paying them for that!

I'm angry every time I see a drug addict in front on me at Wal Mart paying for their food with food stamps. I can see they are so stoned they can barely punch in their code. Then I see them at the local drug dealers as I drive home swapping the steak they just bought for some crack. I know this because the drug dealer laughs about it & tells everyone all about it.

More people should get involved in turning in the people who abuse the system. Maybe then the ones who REALLY need help can get it. I paid in my tax dollars for many decades & I for one am tired of supporting the fakers out there! Take a stand & stand up for our country. Turn them in!!!

Oh yes I do. I have even call the social security office and told them everything I have seen, I was told that it was none of my business. Like hell it isn't I have be working for 35 years and still work today getting ready for my social security check when I turn 62. My worry is will it still be there in 9 years. But with tricks that some peope do I don't think it will. And this is what I have paid in out of my check. Yes we get upset when we see these things. We have a right too. I have told several people that in my next life I am coming back as a social security worked and I will see they loss their easy street. I know some people who stay sick for 20 days out of the month but on check day they dress like queens and kings for 10 days the all the money is gone and they are really sick. I say Bull****

I googled "prescription assistance" and here is the link to the page I came up with:

http://www.google.com/search...

Needymeds is a good one, and pparx.org might be able to help. You could try directly contacting the manufacturer of the (non-generic) prescription and write them to see if they can be of any help.

I was about to post more of my opinion of lowlifes, but figured this info might be of more use to people, and more productive. Since I can't work, I try to be helpful to people online if & when I get the chance. Sometimes I can't help but vent when things rub me the wrong way.

i guess it rubbed me wrong the other day when he was bragging. i do have a question for you. do they have to turn in they got married in the last 6 years and how many vehichles they own. i feel like to be getting stamps and having everything they do something has got to be underhanded. if they had to pay back what they took and get in trouble that money could go to someone else. i don't know. but thanks for the info i will definitely check into it. she needs your prayers as well.

(replying to mmummm)

I really don't blame you. I would have been rubbed the wrong way also. I don't really know the answers to the questions you ask. Maybe go online to the Social Security website and check? The meds I take took a toll on my cognitive function (thinking ability) and my memory comes & goes, along with my other problems.

They might have hired one of those TV attorneys if they ever had any of those medications that gave them problems for the rest of their life, like that Arthritis med a few years back did, and the weight loss Fen-Phen some years ago. There are plenty of lawsuits going on now about some mental health meds giving bad side effects. Maybe some of the money your neighbor got was proceeds from a lawsuit. I know they are supposed to pay TennCare back if they have lawsuit winnings but if they have Medicare I don't know how that works.

When I read this week's Courier this morning I saw a little article about free food being distributed at a place called Helping Hands, at 1180 Wayne Road on the 28th of this month at 1 p.m. It is income and need based. Photo ID, Social Security card, utility bill for proof of residence and proof of income and I think proof of # in the family will be needed. Angel Food is not a need based program, anyone can get it, you can pay for it and pick it up later in the month.

Also on page 7A there is an article at the lower left corner of the page about opening our hearts at Christmas. If your family members are in need, you might write them on behalf of them.

May God bless you and your sister & family. Take care.

see i understand you Feedup. This is what i am saying. I was injured about 5 years ago. I couldn't work my wife just worked a part-time job. We couldn't get anything because of my vehicles and my wife's income went over the scale. So I went back to work anyway. Honest folks can't get anythingd. That's what makes me so fed up with these yahoos down the road. I don't understand it. I also have workded since i was 14. well we just better people.

That is the problem with this country. They punish you for trying to get ahead in life.

To get disability, you have to have doctors' proof of your disability. Friends' statements don't cut it.

You need to be turned down at least twice and go get a lawyer. If one takes your case they will help you get it. By the time it comes through you will probably lose a lot of what you got if it is bought on credit. Be prepared to lose your credit rating and your vehicle's maintenance to go downhill.

My ex broke his neck on the job several years ago. He went for disability with xrays in hand. The doctor he saw for it in Jackson manipulated his neck every which way but loose and left him unable to drive home or move much for over two weeks. He never once mentioned his mental health issues. He goes ballistic complaining about the 'disabled' that draw and don't deserve to.

Someone told me you need both physical and mental health issues to get a check, and if you can put up with the stigma of mental health issues and physical pain and deal with the side effects of all the meds and the associated paperwork... personally I'd rather be working on an assembly line if I were able to.

You can get disability due to drug mis-use easier than a physical problem. Race and gender matters as well.

You're jokining right? Disablility fraud in Savannah? Add welfare fraud to that as well. I figured the state is the largest employer around here with all of the lazy people either collecting fradulent food stamps or faking disabilities. Sure wish I had a Hoveround dealership.

Turn his ass in!! People like that piss me off. Also, if he is truly disabled, there will be no consequence. Just make a quick annonymous call to the disability office... They'll investigate and make a determination on their own.

What do you mean there is no fooling social security?do we need to start calling names?and how about these so called medical professionals......they call themselves DOCTORS....they can also be called legal drug dealers.

The guy is probably not supposed to be doing any of that but if he dont do it he will have to fork over all that check & then some to hire someone else to do it. Why die doing nothing when you can die doing something. You guys look like the jealous 2 faced neighbors Savannah is so well known for. Try to know facts before you judge. You NEVER know the circumstances. More people work at home & on the internet nowadays as well & you never know that they are working 16 hour shifts! You can get a H2 Hummer for 249 a month.

Before you vote this November check into which party actually encourages folks to pull their own weight & which party always pushes for increases in the entitlement programs. You just might be surprised to find out the people you have been voting for are the ones that are taking money from you and redistributing it to those playing the system.

Trust me, I know this guy and I KNOW the circumstances. He pays 488.00/month and still owes over 17,000.00 on it. Right now he's trying to rip his soon to be FIFTH ex-wife off... asking her for 950.00/month in spousal support!!! He's a fraud. Trust me.
