A lot of the people I know that raise fighting cocks around here, don't actually fight them here. They go to MS or KY. Most to KY, big money to be made! I've raised them with my ex and we never fought them around here, I don't even know of a place that does here.

There are not any cockfights going on in this county. Most of the roosters are sold by older folks to Mexico and the Phillipines. The older folks need that extra money to help pay bills. Are you trying to knock those people out of badly needed funds? If you would do just a little research before you open your mouth, you would not make such a fool out of yourself and start deceptive rumors. If you know where a cockfight is in this county, tell us all where it is... Hell, I'd like to go see one myself !!! I would bet you are just making an assumption because you saw a few chickens.

I bet shipping costs to Mexico and Phillipines are more than the chicken is worth. Make up something more believable like....um....they raise them because their feathers are the only species that can produce an oil for a particular pigment and Benjamin Moore Coatings Division pays a premium for free-range fighting roosters.

I personally could care less if you believe me or not. Convincing a "busy body" like you of anything is my least concern. However; as I stated before, if you had taken the time to research what you were commenting about, you would have made a more informed post. BUT, I will educate your ignorant behind on this subject. The Mexicans come get most of what they want. The Phillipino buyers have several brokers in the U.S. licensed thru the Phillipino Government to import game chickens to the islands. They pay our older citizens that raise them good money that helps out on their meds, groceries, clothing, housing, you name it. Whatever an old person would need extra money for. People like you, in their ivory towers, that are totally ignorant about game chickens, post lies and assumptions for facts. You should be ashamed of yourself to try and knock our older citizens out of much needed supplimental money in todays economy. But, I would bet that you have no shame. I would also bet that you have no concern for individual liberty. Do you even know what that means? People like you make me sick and I will not dignify any more of you comments with an answer.

I beg to differ. Those roosters can be very hostile and I was attacked by mine, and still got a scar on my hand. I never fought him, but I guess he was just having a bad day!
