Whats with the road crew!! Now they are going around filling potholes with white gravel, like that is really smart!!! The last rain washed it all away. What happened to using a little tar with the gravel? In case you don't know it actually makes it stick better.Could it be that all the money has been spent on fuel so the employees can have a free ride home in county vehicles? Think about it!

Totally agree! These dipps do nothing but stand around when you see some of their trucks grouped together! This salting is stupid as 2 days before. I thing I would like to see is some one with some power put these people to work picking up litter! They sure as hell don't know how to patch roads! You can't do this with a dump truck, and a road grader! Some of these patches could make a biker, shit his pants!

I would rather my whole road be gravel instead of paved with all these crappy tar filled holes in it. I had to spend $800 replacing parts on my car because the tar had gotten in them and caused the front end to drive funny.

Isn't there a Blount over the road dept.? The city streets are awful! Everytime we get good paved streets they come and dig them up.. As for county roads, well I live in the city and pay county land tax also. In fact we pay double for living in the city. If the county helps any which I doubt they do it's also OUR tax dollars at work. I agree about the men working at the road dept they shouls either work on Fridays or not get paid. I cetainly never get a day off with pay!!!

The amount of taxpayers money that goes to the highway dept isn't enough to fill a pothole! And if you know anything about roads you would know they aren't filling potholes with anything but coldmix. Furthermore if u are talking about people on this site you sure aren't helping get Paul voted out , you are hurting yourself . Maybe you should have a talk with god about how you feel instead of on a public site.
