U have to be joking right? U called the jail house to ask if someone has a bail set? Do u personally know this individual and did u have intentions to bail this individual out? Or were u just calling bc ur one of Savannah's finest that can't keep their nose out of places it shouldn't be? I wouldn't put it past that its a rumor.... Actually I will believe the killer is behind bars when the news announces it, not a local who sits on their @$$ gossiping about others bc their life is so damnit boring... That's what's wrong with that town... You "FOLKS" won't work, have nothing exciting going on, so u think gossiping on others brings u joy...SMH get a f'ing life for the rest of the country!!! Oh and get a job bc I'm tired of paying for YOU to sit on ur @$$ while I work nice and hard making my 70k a yr and u enjoy my green on that damnit plastic from ur local stamp office!!!!! Now, keep ur nose out of this FAMILIES business for once in ur damnit life and find something exciting about ur self...
SAVANNAH, Tenn.- Two people are now charged with the murder of a Savannah woman.

Christopher Knight, 32, and his wife, 18-year-old Tonya Knight, have each been charged with one count of first degree murder for the death of Chris Knight’s mother, 71-year-old Peggy Alexander.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, on March 10, 2013, Chris Knight called police and reported that he discovered his mother dead in the home that they shared, located at 70 Pickwick Street, that morning after 9:00 a.m.

Through the course of the investigation, agents believe that the Knight’s murdered Alexander in her bedroom between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. that morning. Investigators said evidence was revealed that Alexander’s relationship with her son and daughter-in-law was strained and Alexander expressed a desire to move and change her will in regards to Chris Knight.

Shortly after the murder, authorities report that Chris Knight used Alexander’s debit card and took money out of her account.

TBI’s Violent Crime Response Team from the Memphis crime lab responded to the scene and gathered physical evidence from the scene as well.

The 24th Judicial District Attorney’s Office requested TBI to investigate the murder. The Savannah Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.

Chris and Tonya Knight were booked into the Hardin County Jail. There you go from the news asshole

It seems so unreal that someone would do this, but it is quite obvious due to the evidence found...the authorities have solid reason to book & charge two individuals for it. It is public knowledge via the news now. Let us all pray for them. None of us were there when it happened therefore we dont know exactly what happened or who did it.

I wonder if they confessed? And wasn't Tonya's daddy or somebody staying in the house too? Wonder why the only got out 60 dollars if they knew she was dead. And if they was trying to burn that house why didnt they burn it good. Something ain't right

If you read closely, she only had $62.00 in the account so $60.00 was pretty much all of it. As for as burning the house, I guess you could sum that up in a few words, "DAMN STUPID". I hope Chris never sees daylight again and he lives to be an old man and sees and hears his Mama every day!
