How can a person have a cat haven inside the city limits. On Plainview drive there is this lady, Carol who has about 100 cats and they run wild all over the neighborhood. The whole block smells like cat poop. They mess uo your car, get into your cars, get into your garage and pee all over your stuff and even run in your house when you open the door. I do not like cats and they are everywhere. I pay my taxes like she does and I can have no peace at my house for the cats. Looks like there would be something that could be done about this. It is invading my living space and if I wanted a pet I would get one on my own. I have talked to her and she does nothing, new cats appear every day. Its crazy.

Even though it's in the city limits, start with the county health inspector and ask for the proper channels to take. What you see outside may be a small part of what's going on inside the neighbors house. Sadly, the health department had to trap seventy-five totally wild feral cats near my place. These adult cats that have never had any life with humans other than feeding can't be saved. The people who create this cat situation usually have mental problems and have to have help from family or mental health professionals to staay in their house alone. Yes they have rights but it's not right to inflict this situation on the neighbors. Good luck!

Call animal control if you live in the city. It's not that hard to figure out.

BULLs%$#!!!!! You've apparently never lived around or near a sicko that attracts the feral cats. One or two house cats are no problem but when there is food left out for the wild cats they have around the neighborhood, they use the neighbors flowers and garden for a litter box and will have their unchecked litters anywhere they can squeeze in. Then those litters become feral too. No tolerance for people hoarding feral cats! Let the city or county take action. If they won't ,resort to any" means" you have to.

Am not a sicko .I dont have a hundred feral cats .Dont get new cats every day but since my address was put on topix which is against thw law I am sure people will start tryin to drop off their unwanted cats .I dont want anybodys cats so dont even think about dropping them off.

Well someone has to take care of them how is she a sicko she just has a heart for cats theres nothing wrong with that. You people complaining are the problem with our society so worried about getting pee in ur garden anything could do that. At least she feeds them. I think there needs to be many more like her that stands up for what she loves and dont let a sweet cat starve just because a cat is outside doesnt mean its a feral cat

Trap the poor little kittys and keep them in YOUR yard! After years of living with cat pee and litter boxes, those cat hoarders can't smell how bad it is just like a smoker can't smell the stench of his smoke in his clothes, car, and house.. Sorry ,but if you can't contain your flock to your property and the authorities won't do anything about it,the neighbors have a right to protect their property by any means possible.

I dont know any cat hoarders.Saw some on tv and it creeped me out.Nobody can afford to feed that many anyway.Tractor Supply has regular adoption days so people can adopt out their cats. If people would just spay and neuter their pets instead of dumping them we wouldnt have so many problems.

I agree with the spay and neuter 100% but the cats raised in the wild don't trust humans other than for food and usually are dangerous to even try to handle. Generation after generation keeps breeding around the horders and the condition worsens until the authorities or unhappy neighbors handle the situation.

Unwanted animals whether it be cats or dogs that are not adoptable should be euthanized! It should be a county & city law that no one should own more than 2 pets and they MUST be spay or neutered. Other northern states have these laws. It is much more humane to euthanize than to dump on the side of the road or river bottom and let them reproduce making more unwanted animals. To care for your pets with proper veterinary care two pets should be sufficient for anyone.

If they are on your property getting on cars and flower beds and you have spoke with the cat horder i say do what you have to do! No one should have to put up with someone else's problem and odors.

The City got a grant not long ago that gives low income people FREE SPAY and NEUTERING for their CATS. All you need to do is go to the Animal Shelter, fill out a form, and take it to the vet. The only cost is rabies vaccination.
