the parade was fine for the most part. take away the stupid law, fire and ambulances and their ignorant sirens and take away the bigass wreckers, that had nothing to sdo with a christmas parade, and their air horns, the rest was fine. the high school band was awesome as usual. some pretty floats and lots of friendly people. i just don't understand all the stupid ass sirens ruining a parade like they do every year.

How someone grips about the sirens when they have to listen to them until they want to hear them coming to help when them or their loved ones needs them. U think the people riding in those loud things enjoy hearing the sirens? Nope they sure dont but kids love the noise for some reason and that's what parades are about.

surely to gawd you don't really believe that crock you just spewed? How the hell can an idiot like you compare an emergency signal to a loud blast of useless noise like the sirens at the parade? and yes, I do believe that they enjoy setting in th vehicles and blaring that crap. It's an ego trip for them.

I am sure a degree of deafness comes from those parades.

I wish we could have more bands. Years ago we would have as many as 9 bands from other counties come. Bands from Selmer, Adamsville, Jackson, Parsons, Henderson, and others, even Cherokeee Alabama would come. The bands made the parade. Then we got down to Hardin Co. High School band and the Hardin Co. Middle School Band. Now it's only our high school band. They were awesome by the way. Just wish we could have the numerous bands like old times. Also, Santa always ended the parade on an awesome float with running reindeer. He sit high in the air. I barely could see him last night. Oh well, things changes I guess!

We enjoyed watching the crowd as much as the parade. All them redneck boys went stupid when the wreckers came by, blaring their air horns!
Hilarious watching the FAT girls chasing after the thrown candy, beating kids to it most of the time!
WTF was that float with the giant old woman head?

Get over yourself. If your delicate little ears can't handle the noise then stay home. You'd bitch if they didn't have them because it would be "too quiet and boring".

The float Santa was supposed to be on broke down at the fairgrounds. It was a lot better than the one he ended up on. They had to scramble to get on another one

I remember the days when there were multiple bands in the parade. Now that most cities have their parade on the 1st Monday in December it's impossible for bands to go to other cities to participate. Scheduling & money to travel both make it nearly impossible to have as many bands as we used to.

We went to the Jackson parade a few years ago & there was a drum corp that was incredible. They weren't affiliated with any school that I know of. Has anyone else seen them? I'd love to find out where they're from.
