Microsoft Essentials. It's free & reliable. Norton & that AVG slow your PC down.

Microsoft Security Essentials is an all around good bet. Norton is total BS like McAfee. I wiped my computer and re-installed OS then downloaded MSE and no more problems.

One more point be aware, very aware of where you go on the internet because some sites are loaded with bugs. Remember when you click you have granted permission to the site as well as the Trojan riding piggyback.

Being a safe surfer will go a long way ! Oh and by the way install Ghostery and you will get an idea just how much your activities are being watched.

They asked about FREE ANTI VIRUS smartass! I gave a legit answer. Take your Mac & shove it up your Mac ass. My computer runs super fast thank you very f'ing much. Probably newer than yours. If you can't provide a legitimate helpful answer then move along & let those of us who have one try to help this person.

That's Mac dude. But You run a higher chance of catching a virus than that of a PC user with Linux. And needless to say Mac os x isn't immune to virus, Trojan's, worms. There are no Virus at this time but there are plenty of Trojans for the MAC. And finally a well maintained PC is just as fast as a well maintained mac. The mac's lack of virus has nothing to do with the actual OS in question but more to the fact that so few people actually buy that over priced piece of Crap.

You do realize that by AV he meant anti virus and AVG. And that his comment was directed at everyone and not you.

You're correct & I did insert the word FREE without meaning too. I just think they were being pretentious mentioning they had a MAC like the rest of us are piss poor idiots because we choose not to use one. I had a Mac years ago. I found it not so much to my liking after finding programs for it hard to find back then. But I do like your Mac comments. LOL Good on you!
