is paula deans accent fake?

I live in Savannah and i met her and i can sure tell you it is all a put on. When she is in the spot light she puts it on thick...otherwise she is almost shude...well that may be alittle over said too, but i dare say she is certainly not who she is on TV. Also when the Extreme makeover came to Sav. am i understanding that the complete Kitchen that was said to be donated from Paula was only for show on the program then quickly removed from the house. If thats true how sad to have so much money and take it all back hah...well goes to show...its all show..

I am proudly Georgian! I had never heard of the restaurant before she had that show in the first place. Her accent is like most of ours, we have a slight one, but love to entertain! Paula being an icon is not true, nor do we eat all of our food with all that extra fat. We would all need cardiac stints in our 20s if we did.

You're right! We Southerners don't need exaggerated and overacting on our television. The hunger and demand is for more programming like Duck Dynasty, Swamp People, WWF wrestlin',Honey Boo Boo, NASCAR racin', Dukes Of Hazzard reruns, and Monster Trucks.

Sorry, but Savannah was already on the map - for beauty, for history, for architecture, for culture, and even for food. We didn't need Ms. Dean to represent. And frankly, it's embarrassing.

I'm sorry, but Savannah does *not* equal country. Southern, yes; country, no. That's a myth she's perpetuated. Albany is not Savannah. In fact, it's closer in distance to Alabama.
