FEMA should be gutted. All govt agencies should be gutted and ONLY a select few started back up carefully. After the crooks have been thrown out.

I gave to the OK relief fund today from my personal wallet. Not to the Red Cross, never to the Red Cross. Too many big paychecks come first there.
I give through Mercury One.org .
100% of every donation, that's every red cent to some here, goes to the people. Every penny.

How much have you donated, Informed Opinion? Mind if I ask?

Why are you asking Christians how old the earth is? Mind if I axe?

Why do you need to ridicule Christians?
What is missing in your life that you need to single out and make fun of Christians?
Were you bullied as a child?
Did your mama nurse you?
Did your daddy play catch with you?

Why persecute Christians? Are you Communist?

Legitimate questions.

<quoted text>If your beloved unions are so great, why is membership in the private sector below 7%?
Union membership is dropping because Right Wing Wackos support any law that destroys unions.

RWWS are destroying the only mechanism that ever allowed the Middle Class to prosper, then wondering why the Middle Class is being destroyed.

Like children who shoot their parents then bitch their orphans - destroying unions is the stupidest thing any working class person can do.

Don't worry about me.

I got my nice lifelong pension, lifelong medical care, lifelong COLA, and when I die my much younger wife will continue to collect until she dies.

So I'm all set.

It's your kids you ought to be ashamed to confront when they ask you what happened to decent wages, job security and pension plans.

Explain to your son that he just needs to walk over to G.E., or Apple, or Hewlett Packard and demand a raise or by God, he's walking away from that assembly line.
Explain to him when they laugh at him and tell him not tort the door hit him in the butt on his way out, it's his fault he's not man enough to take on a 500 Billion Dollar, or Trillion Dollar company all by his lonesome.
What a wuss he must be.

Explain to them why he works like dogs, for less money each year,(being among the most productive workers on Earth), and that while the company's profits explode, and they don't get to see a dime of the highest profits in modern history.

Explain to them that you destroyed the only method in history proven to create a sustainable Middle Class.

Explain to them that it really a good idea that the CEO who used to make 30 times your son's wage as an employee, it's really great the CEO now makes 320 times your son's wage.

Explain to them how losing a lifelong pension plan paid for by the company is a good thing, especially since the company is making higher profits than ever before and could easily afford to provide him a pension.

Maybe they'll forgive you.

I wouldn't if I was them.

I'd ask "Dad, were you really that dumb, or did you hate your own children that much ?"

Good luck explaining.

By the way - don't bother insulting me - all statements made are undisputed substantiated facts, and you'll just look silly pretending they aren't.

Oh wait ... They're still paying damages to ACORN for printing those lies about them.

Aggie, that post is to you.
Okay, here's just the first three I looked at:
Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity,“Who Really Cares,” cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals.

A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.
Conservatives also appear to be more generous than liberals in nonfinancial ways. People in red states are considerably more likely to volunteer for good causes, and conservatives give blood more often.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/opinion/21k...

Residents of the states that voted for John Kerry in 2004 gave smaller percentages of their incomes to charity than did residents of states that voted for George Bush.
-- Bush carried 24 of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average.
-- In the 10 reddest states,, the average percentage of personal income donated to charity was 3.5. Residents of the bluest states,, donated just 1.9 percent.
-- People who reject the idea that "government has a responsibility to reduce income inequality" give an average of four times more than people who accept that proposition.

In 2000, brows were furrowed in perplexity because Vice President Al Gore's charitable contributions, as a percentage of his income, were below the national average: He gave 0.2 percent of his family income, But Gore "gave at the office." By using public office to give other peoples' money to government programs, he was being charitable, as liberals increasingly, and conveniently, understand that word.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/200...

Greed: Rich businessman Mitt Romney gave more than 16% of his income to charity last year. A few years back, Barack and Michelle Obama gave less than 1% of theirs. Aren't Republicans supposed to be the heartless ones?
According to their tax returns, the Obamas gave to charitable causes just $10,772 of the $1.2 million they earned from 2000 through 2004. In 2005 and 2006, they boosted their giving a bit to 5%.

Biden and his wife gave an average of $369 a year to charity for the decade preceding his vice presidency, according to USA Today. That amounted to 0.3% of their income. They haven't been much more generous since Biden became veep. In 2010, they gave $5,350, or roughly 1.4%.
Maybe the Clintons, the last Democrats to hold the White House before the Obamas, can save the party's reputation. From 2000 to 2006, their donations averaged 8.26% of income, from a low of 1.21% in 2002 to a high of 12.57% two years later, says the Tax Foundation.
Better, but not exactly Romney territory. The former Massachusetts governor gave 13.73% of his income to charity in 2010 and an estimated 19.14% last year.
Romney's top opponent in the GOP primaries, Newt Gingrich, is closer to the Democrats in his giving, having donated 2.6% of his income in 2010.
That leaves him open for criticism. But remember: Unlike Democrats, Gingrich hasn't made a political career of painting himself as a champion of the poor.

Of course when Democrats talk about helping the poor, they don't mean with their own money. They mean using other people's money.
Romney, of course, has been blistered in the media and by Democrats for being greedy. But who's greedier?
Those who make their fortunes through honest work and support policies that let Americans keep more of what is theirs? Or the lawmakers who grab, snatch, claw and bite for every dollar they can rake out of others?
There's a moral distinction between the two and voters need to recognize the great divide.

They don't mind looking silly. They just pretend their little made-up world of made-up facts is real. They're happy living in Republican Fantasy-Land.

Notice how Synergy and [email protected] keep spamming the place with useless ignorant posts all day?

They're trying to put as much distance between those ugly posts earlier today showing how voting Republican has MAJOR real-world consequences to REAL PEOPLE.

If you're a RWW- NEVER acknowledge the plain truth. It's terribly inconvenient to them.
