On American soil-
Under Clinton -
6 killed in WTC - Suspects identified, apprehended, and imprisoned;

Under Bush -
2,977 killed; bin Laden family escorted by US fighter jets back to Saudi Arabia, the sponsor of the attack, and bin Laden protected by Bush until Obama had him killed.

Or another way, looking at specifics:

On Foreign Soil

Under Clinton-

- Riyadh - 5 Americans killed by a car bomb
- Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania - 12 Americans killed, 212 foreigners;
- U.S. Cole - 17 Americans killed.

Under Bush

Iraq- 109,032 civilian deaths,(secret DOD analysis leaked to WikiLeaks,
- 4,487 Americans
Afghanistan- 2,177 Americans
Pakistan - 2,562 civilians killed collaterally by U.S. Drones,
- 1,790 Americans

Total = 8,451 Americans

So on American soil it's 34 Americans killed under Clinton,
and 2,977 Americans killed under Bush.

On Foreign soil - you can blame Clinton for 34 Americans killed,
and Bush for 8,451 Americans killed

You can blame Clinton for 212 for civilians killed,
and Bush for 111,594 civilians killed.

You sure you want to make these comparisons ?

You can worry about the Left Wingers trying to reduce our dependency on Arab oil by our God-given right to use less efficient incandescent light bulbs,
and our indisputable right to be deadbeats and parasites refusing to pay our own medical costs;

We Progressives will worry about the UnPatriot Act, 3 Illegal wars, and 9,000 dead American Troops, over 44,000 American Troops wounded physically or emotionally; and anywhere between 133,000 to 240,000 civilians killed.
Not to mention 3 Trillion is costs.

It's ok with us if we have to use more efficient light bulbs - as opposed to killing more Marines.
As you were -
bad math -
make that blame Clinton for 53 Americans killed and blame Bush for 8,451 - Wow - that changes everything.

As for your alter ego with the job at the hospital. Bragging about a job that is guaranteed to make money takes little skills. They take the cost and add a profit with no real threat of any cost competition. It’s just like BRMEMC, they take cost and add profit, neither one has ANY incentive to save anyone any money. Anyone with a decent adding machine could do that.
Your first two sentences don't impress me. I sold my home on the ocean a few years ago and I am having the lake house rebuilt now. On a lake in the North Georgia mountains and will be finished by end of March. So, what was your point?

In regard to the rest of your "stuff", I don't have an alter ego, so I have no idea whom/what you are referring to. Hospital job????? Not me.

No need, they have showed their military service as honorable Commanders in Chief.
On the other hand, it was Bush and the millionaire "Swiftboaters" who denigrated our Vietnam vets by ridiculing the honors afforded them for gallantry in battle, Bush who proudly taunted the world to "Bring it on", and used our Servicemen as his political tools as he sat in a jet on a carrier beneath the big "Mission Accomplished" sign - of course, that sign was as honest as the rest of his presidency.
But hey, I've had almost two bourbons tonight watching boxing on ESPN, so maybe I'm just feeling "oatsy". Never bet against a Puerto Rican boxer.

You are a perfectly honest crank, but not a fanatic, for you are sure of yourself. You have somehow lost your self-respect and are trying to argue yourself back into it. You have considerable brains, for the reasons you give for differing from most of your countrymen are good so far as they go. I shouldn't care to take you on in public argument.

Energy Efficient Light Bulbs-

Light bulbs, heaters, and all electrically powered products require electricity.
Energy (primarily oil and coal), is required to produce the electricity.
We use huge amounts of foreign oil obtained in the world market to produce electricity and power cars.
The Arabs control a huge percentage of the oil supply.
Every dollar we send the Arabs for oil is a dollar they use to their benefit, at our detriment.

Everyone has understood that for years and demanded we assert energy independence.
Jimmy Carter has been proven correct a thousand times over, and every time a politician demands energy independence it's confirmed again.

There are three ways to obtain energy independence:
- Conservation - Use less oil -(energy efficient appliances, cars, air conditioner, etc. and yes, light bulbs
- Increased Production - Produce more oil. A guaranteed long-term loser as oil is a finite resource, therefore we only delay the inevitable.
- Alternative energy sources,(solar geothermal, wind).

Energy efficient light bulbs are a small, but significant step toward energy independence, as are increased insulation requirements, car mileage requirements, etc.

Until we have achieved energy independence, we'll be sending troops to die in the Middle East to protect the Saudi Royal family's grasp on power, and to assure multinational oil companies have access to all countries oil reserves.

As a note - That's why we must constantly harass Chavez in Venezuela - he insists on controlling his own country's oil reserves. Does anybody serious think we give a damn about democracy ?

Compulsory Medical Insurance -

Right Wingers love to claim they support personal responsibility - yet fight Obama Care - that position is intellectually indefensible.

Unless you're Bill Gates, you cannot possible be able to pay the millions of dollars a medical catastrophe or chronic condition will cost.

When people or their families get sick or injured, you'll get, and accept all the medical care necessary, which they won't pay for. Hence deadbeats and parasites. The people the Right Wing claim to abhor.

Those of us who do pay for medical insurance and pay our out-of-pockets absorb the costs created by the deadbeats failure to pay because the unpaid costs are passed along to us in increased costs for health care providers and taxes for Medicaid and public hospitals.

Just as people have to carry car liability insurance to protect the rest of us from paying for expenses they create but can't pay, people must carry medical insurance for medical costs they will create but not pay.

Damn, personal responsibility should have everyone's support.

The IRS estimates that the cheapest Obamacare plan for an average family of five will cost $20,000 per year.

Personal decision making:

1) new rims for the car, or health insurance
2) new "smart" phone every 6 months, or health insurance
3) new air jordans every year, or health insurance

Sorry, lack of affordability doesn't cut it.
