Well it's "balls-ie" opening another foo foo place, I always thought it would have made a better Dip-Sea type place, cheap, fast and unless some one made a big mistake at the Marin I J, did it say cash only ? I give the place six months....maybe seven. Cash only, what a dummy.

I have been to the Seahorse several times.
The food and the drinks are good, but the service is terrible.
Slow, menus have to be requested (ie, tracked down at the bar and brought back to the table by the customer), servers don't understand the questions about the food (language problem?), waiters and bar staff are inattentive at best, rude when approached.
It takes 20 minutes to GET a bill and if you don't go with the waiter, you'll wait ANOTHER 20 minutes for change...

agree with above. been there a few times, TERRIBLE service from bartenders, mediocre food, absolutely NO "vibrant' scene.

I wanted so bad to love this place because I have great memories of Sausalito Food Co. in the 1970s in that space but the owner was rude and the rest of the service also helped to ruin the experience. Why is it that the easiest part of running a restaurant by far seems to be the hardest. Why is just being nice and providing simple customer service so hard. Try that new Himalayan place, they're very sweet people working there and running it.

I have been there several times, and I keep hoping for a good experience. I am still waiting. The comments about the staff are right on, rude and inefficient. By the way check your bill (when you finally get it) and count your change , I've experienced and heard from other "locals" that there have been many instances of mistakes on both, always in the restaurants favor. Must be one reason why they only take cash. And why they have several employees that have been fired from everywhere else they have worked in Sausalito. I have always had some sort of issue with the food, either it's been cold, not available(out of fish at 630 on a Friday?) or just plain terrible.

The nightlife actually makes the food sound good, the music is always overamplified, which would be OK if the bands were any good, and the crowd always makes you feel uncomfortable, lots of leering at women and rude remarks. Ladies don't go alone! I don't.

Bad excuse for a bar, or restaurant, or music venue, or whatever it is they are trying to achieve. Good excuse for the rude owner to satisfy his ego, and to pay off whoever(? not too subtle)is bankrolling this cash only place.
