Why is it that American citizens are always forced to accommodate their ways of life to make life easier for immigrants? How about you come to this country, you learn the language and assimilate to our culture. No one forced you to come here. If you are American citizens, learn the language. Don't constantly use the language barrier when it suits you. Our ancestors all came here from abroad. They either assimilated or they did not succeed. Now, everything is given to the immigrants without them being forced to work for anything. By all means welcome to the country but at least do your part and become party of the community. If you obey the laws and don't provoke situations, there won't be any issues. When you act like animals, you reinforce the stereotypes that many already have.

Yea in court they are not when their in the middle of the street fighting with the police.
in court, in hospitals, phone calls to customer service, when they get arrested, during interrogation...if you or I got arrested and didn't understand why we were being interrogated, not because of a language barrier, the only interpreter we'd have access to is a public defender.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!

THEY choose to come here to live; we did NOt choose to live in PR. The USA speaks English - NOT Spanish! It is NOT up to us to make concessions to PRicans just because they are too lazy to learn OUR language.

I pay taxes on TWO houses and I'm getting sick and tired to supporting people that do everything in their power to NOT live by our Society's rules and laws. I hope and pray that their ridiculous "lawsuit" gets thrown out of Court for lack of merit! UPD does NOT go around hitting people with their Billy Clubs unless there is a valid reason to do so.

Its a requirement, if you drive truck to be able to speak enough of the englush language to communicate effectively with shippers/recievers/DOT enforcement officers, much like almost any other form of employment in this country, however if you head down to the local welfare office and can't speak a word of english, they give you everything you need to survive AND bring in a translator...nice. Welcome to America.

Yep, and I bet if they were short changed a penny in the store, they would be able to speak English.

These "people" called the police because someone threatened someone with a knife.

The police came.

The animals called everyone they knew.

They showed up.

They outnumbered the cops, and were screaming.

Cops told them to leave.

They didnt.

People began to get arrested.

They fought like animals with the cops.

End of story.

Oh, they spoke perfect english while they were fighting the cops...

This could have been handled differently if they had a hearing impaired interpreter there for the Mexicans. Yes, there are hundreds and hundreds of hearing impaired Mexicans washing up on the shores of the Gulf states. The sea water has clogged their ears and caused them to be hard of hearing. When they migrated to central New York they brought their hearing impairments with them. We need to be sensitive to this dilemma. We need more sign interpreters for these deaf Mexicans. WKTV will be running telethons for these deaf Mexicans and will no longer be showing Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

maybe not, but they are "entitled" to a translater.
If the behaved like human beings, there would be no need for translator. NO ONE should be able to enter this country w/o at least remedial english.

just stating a fact, certainly wasn't my opinion. I agree. This country went to hell financially, if nowhere else, when ppl that cant speak the language started being catered to and became more important than ppl who can actually communicate the spoken language.

Watching the goons go on tv to state their claim was hilariously painful. It's sad when people don't even realize how completely stupid they look when they are obvious wrong in the first place. If you can't handle the fact you moved to a English dominant country when it comes to language then go back to where you came from. We don't need anymore animals coming to this country anyway, we already have enough of our own.
