What a beautiful summer day! A day to stroll around the yard, enjoy the smells of summer and hear the birds...oh wait....the fragrance is not from the flowers and I can't hear the birds. I have to go inside my house and close the windows. I smell asphalt and I can't hear the birds because the sound of the trucks hauling asphalt blocks out any other sounds. There is an asphalt plant located approx. 1/2 mile from our homes on Wilson Rd. in Kinross. Hopefully the township is getting some kind of return to fix our local roads as they haul to all parts of the county. What a shame the plant can't be located somewhere away from our homes.

I read your response and learned this:
The local company doing this work has paved our township roads for the last 2 years and has also contributed many dollars in the community with fuel, food, lodging, etc. Sorry to hear you don't like the situation, but the community has benefited from this in more ways than one.
