This is always a tragedy. A lot of times it's due to new parents thinking that babies are breakable, so they don't strap them into car seats tightly enough or worse, those idiot parents that don't even put their babies in a car seat, thinking that they can hold them tighter than the device specifically designed for their safety in the event of an auto accident. You cannot. If those straps are even slightly loose on the baby, the baby will come flying out. They have to be snug and tight. It doesn't hurt the baby to have them snugly fit. Remember, babies came from a tight place. They like it, and it's comforting to them. And necessary to save their lives.

While I agree with the bulk of your statement, you come across as blaming the parents. How about some compassion until we have heard the full story of what happened. My heart goes out to this little ones family.
