I'm sick of these stories. You would think it was some big accomplishment. Some magazine will pay them for their story with everyone waiting to hear it. What a couple of parents these two will make.

Wish that there were more folks out there that could see this same thing! I agree WHOLE HEARTEDLY!!!! And Julie, love the line about squeezing out a litter! So true, so true! And Blahhh, you are 100% correct in that the folks having these multiples are very much not in a financial position to do this. I fully understand and appreciate the want and desire to have kids, but you've got to be realistic about it and you've got to think more about the kids (potential kids) than yourself and your "want". A lot of people in this world need a very large wake up call and just as many drs need to quite handing out fertility drugs like M&M's!

I don't understand why a dr. would give out fertility pills to someone who already has a child, especially under 2. Give it some time...you got pregnent once. And the drs are giving it out to young (under 30) women. After 30, they might need a little help.

For all the women with a child, under 30....try the natural way!!

I get charged an extra .75 as a "health impact fee" for smoking - what is this family getting charged; or rather how much is the State paying for this? The State needs to step in & BAN fertility drugs. Heck the State should ban sex altogether, save us a ton of money.

You're entitled to your opinion and I won't call you any names for it. Blessed? I'm blessed with the brains not to have one.

I love all the backyard quarterbacks that are posting here!! Are you sure that they didn't use fertility drugs to conceive their first child also? The story doesn't state that they are taking in payments from the state, or did I miss that. It could be that they are getting help from their family/friends and possibly their church.

I find it amazing how every one assumes the worst without knowing the full situation.

Rory and Jessie, congratulations on making it 6 months with 5 kids. It sounds like they are all healthy and happy and that is all that matters. Good luck!!!

Hopefully you will never have one maybe you should hae your tubes tied just to make sure. But then your probably the type that would just have the baby killed if you did get knocked up.

I think its funny that the PP will allow people to post personal attacks with thinly-veiled profanity and wildly racist comments, but posting a down to brass-tacks description of reproduction is beyond the pale. Guess I should add some racial slurs to ensure they stay up next time.

I love all the hypocrits who will use fertility treatments to get pregnant but won't do a selective reduction because its killing. How the heck do you think scientists figured out how to use fertility treatments? They killed millions and millions of "babies." HYPOCRITS who pop out litters make me want to throw up. Try adoption or fostering kids who really need a family. Stop being selfish!!!

Due to urban sprawl caused by our expanding population, hugging a tree is becoming hard to do. Seeing some pretty pathetic examples of parenting, I find myself wishing more people would make the decision not to have children. Next time I hear "It takes a village to raise a child," I'm going to start spanking some brats.

If name calling is the way you communicate on a day-to-day basis, please refrain from reproducing. We have enough dead rotting leaves in our gene pool.

It never ceases to amaze me when people have good fortune and are blessed with something special (in this case quints)there will be tenfold b1tching about it.

Where did Minnesota nice go?

What makes you think MN is picking up the tab?

Would the same people complain about the soaring price of health care for the young girl burned in the bon fire a few weeks back, and complain about the state paying for it?

Too many of you refuse to think with an open mind-what a waste....

That's 5 more deductions for these people, and 5 more kids, who may have learning disabilities, in school sucking up resources.

One person's blessing is another person's headache from the screaming at the grocery store and the bigger tax bill to support it.

Paying for a kid's accidental burn is a little different from paying for someone to CHOOSE to have a litter of kids.

Julie, you choose to think that ALL kids are spoiled rotten, screaming, bratty, dependant-on -the-state burdens....sucks to live in your world.
