What's with the FAA?! These dangerous flying machines should have been outlawed in about 1979. I am in shock that these things are still even allowed.

Depending on the type of ultralight aircraft, they are actually quite safe. Many moe people die in cars or on motorcycles. Should we outlaw those?

SUV's should be outlawed, or at least highly taxed much more than cars so the demand for them goes down. But that's because of global warming and not because of safety. SUVs are so heavy that they can really mess up another vehicle in a crash so there should be consideration given to outlawing them simply from a safety viewpoint.

If you look at how many people drive vs how many use an ultra light aircraft... now do the math. Usually the reason people get killed in car/motorcycle accidents is because someone was breaking the law to begin with. I don't think the ula's should be outlawed though. People know the risk when they climb in anyway. Just like anything else people do that is considered dangerous.
