The I-TEAM on Channel 4 at 11PM tonigth is running a story om the dept. and i am sure its not good.

If the I-TEAM is a running a story on you, it definately is not good. What did the Fire Dept. do or not do? Does anybody know?

Is it only on the Everett Fire Dept. or in general? I know that the Boston Fire Dept. is in hot water because of the drinking and drug use. I have no complaints about the EFD. Any time I've needed them their response time has been excellent.

One EVERETT firefighter???? I don't want to stay up to see a hit peice on one firefighter unless it is an Everett firefighter. Let's face it, you can pick any profession and find several jackass's to single out. If it's an Everett employee though I would be interested. I think our Fire Department is doing a great job, even with all the cuts the city took out of them.

Mea Culpa The promo on the news at noon on Ch 4 showed a Everett Engine backing in to Central Fire so I thouight the story would be about the Everett'
Did anyone else see that broadcast?

It was about a Revere firefighter who is on total disability after he injured his shoulder during training exercises. The story takes off because he is unable to perform light duty at the fire station but is able to go to work every day at his auto business. In short, he collects two paychecks. Basically the guy is scamming the system and the City of Revere.

Talk about jumping to conclusions. It wasn't about Everett and you were already fingering some individual. That's what happens when you watch the talking heads; the run vague promo's to get people to stay and watch them talk...about nothing.
