Stat was re-elected after the scandelous story in the Advocate {probably orchastrated by someone in the school department}. Was the Stat vote an anti Forestaire vote and not a Stat vote? The people have spoken and I wish good luck to Stat Smith. Does anyone think the Advocate story will effect his run for state rep? or will Everett voters ignore the story when it comes to the rep race?

Everett voters ignore all crimes committed by criminals in this city. Marcus was re-elected, Stat & Forestere remain in their positions. Bob Shea is back in town. It doens't matter.

Because he desn't bow down to FFF and he's the best for the schools and State Rep end of story. You people in Everett are clueless.

I think Stat will have an opponent and be ousted the next election.

Stat may have an opponent, but I wouldn't bet the payroll on him losing, especially if it's a Freddy Foresteire boy. Just because his his hand-picked, paid for school committee won their re-election bids, doesn't mean that the city will hand the keys over to Freddy.

I think VanCampen, Connolly, Matewsky and an unknown guy from the district in Malden will give Stat a strong challenge in the PRIMARY. None of them are "Freddy's boys". All of them are strong campaigners. May the best person win for the sake of Everett.

Van Campen is one of Freddy's boys - he always has been. During the biggest school scandals, good old Bobby never said a word about Fred...no he blamed Ragucci for all it. If Fred stops short, Van Campen's nose will get broken.

Ms. Connolly? Nice enough, and maybe she'll be a good candidate, although tough to say since she's never really involved herself in much beyond her father's campaign.

Matewsky? He's done. Millie Cardello beat him.

Unknown guy? Yeah? Out of Malden, representing what, 5% of the district?

Everyone knows that Fred is running Van Campen against Stat. And Van Campen will have all of Fred's money and people behind him. He will, of course, lose his soul and integrity in the process...not that that's ever bothered him before.

i'm thinking that fff is way too involved in politics...he is supposed to be running the schools, not the city or the district. i know a few school supers and none of them get this into politics..hey fff back off, don't push your luck, with your history you should be happy to still have a job.if you worked in the private sector or were a municpal employee you would have been fired, hey shit i forgot you are a municipal employee, how the f%6k are you still here?

In 99% of cities and towns in Massachusetts the Superintendent would be fired if they backed candidates for office like Fred Forrestaire does. Their job is to run the schools, not back candidates.
