He's done a great job for many, many years. True, nobody is perfect.

Why should it. He may have made a personal mistake ;however he runs the schools marvelously. Can you imagine the idiots taking over..

Everett citizens do not have to rid of the entire school committee. Just enough for a majority vote ,that will be enough to fire Freddy The Felon.

He has not done a good job. Go to the Massachusetts Dept of Education site and look at Evereet schools MCAS test results. Everett is always in the lower 10% of the entire state. Look at the real results and wake up. Do not state anything until you know and see the real facts.

He's the man in charge, so he gets the credit or the blame.

there is always room for improvement. you say "these idiots". the school committee has very little power, they hire and fire the superintendent, they vote on the budget, but are not allowed to make any changes. most of the power to change comes from the super,if we had a new one peoples impression of the school system would change. do you think for one minute that people outside of everett don't know about fff? do you think people looking to buy a home or rent in evertt sit around saying"lets move to everett so our kids can get the best public education available" i'm thinking best education and everett are not in the same sentence.
we need a new super. the school committee is in charge of the hiring process.but the first step is lose freddy

School Committee has the power to fire and hire according to Massachsettts Laws. The Superintendent can ONLY RECOMMEND, then the School Commmittee does the hiring and firing.

Some but not most.

English as a second language = more than half of the kids at the high school. How do you expect them to do well on the MCAS tests? You cannot blame Mr. Foresteire for that.
