Personally, I think the PCSO is doing a great job in busting drug dealers, burglars, and those dealing in stolen property. I have seen a shake-up in the past couple of months and my hat goes off to PCSO. Like an earlier poster stated, "Rome wasn't built in a day..." and the clean-up process is working, one thug at a time! KUDOs Sheriff Hardy and gang!

Timothy Charles Holmseth was told people would be killed if anyone found who secretly taped PCSO Detective Peggy Cone - kept it secret for months

East Grand Forks, MN, December 10, 2009: Minnesota reporter Timothy Charles Holmseth possess an audio recoding of an interview he conducted in the summer of 2009 that proves exactly where Misty Croslin and HaLeigh Cummings were on the night the child disappeared. The information comes from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and proves that office knows where Croslin and the child were the night the child vanished. Holmseth was told that several people would be “executed” if the identity of the person(s) who secretly recorded PCSO Detective Peggy Cone was revealed.“The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has told the media they do not know where Misty Croslin was the night HaLeigh disappeared.“The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is going to have a thousand questions they cannot answer when I release this audio to the American public,” Holmseth said.“I dare PCSO Lt. Johnny Greenwood to issue another press release stating the PCSO does not know where Misty Croslin and HaLeigh Cummings were that night. I dare him.”

Are you communucating a threat of bodily harm against me in some way?
That could be inferred as a threat. On line, over state lines, this may violate a number of laws.
If you are a moderator, kindly state what the violation was and clarify the meaning behind, your finished, your wasted, your whacked, or your expunged.
I await your reply.

I still believe that 8 grand would have at least fixed a few of the locks at the jail. I think protecting the public as well as the people who work at the jail is more important than what an officer or deputy is wearing. But that is just me.
It would have fixed the hole in teh wall they escaped through and re-trained the C/O's that allowed them to get out!

A Putnam County Jail escapee was found guilty Friday of choking his step-grandmother to death during a three-day crime spree in 2009.

Timothy Wayne Fletcher now faces a possible death sentence.

The same jury that took only 98 minutes to convict Fletcher will decide next month whether to recommend the Welaka man receive a lethal injection or spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering Helen Key Googe

Circuit Judge Wendy Berger (Misty's Judge)
Authorities say Fletcher, 28, smuggled a jack stolen from a jail transport van into the jail, which he and cellmate Doni Ray Brown used to move a sink-toilet fixture from the wall. The pair used the utility corridor behind the wall to reach an inadequately secured door and fled the jail on April 15, 2009, about 2 a.m.

The pair broke into and tried to steal a pickup and van before finding a pickup with keys in it at a tire shop, then drove to Googe’s house in Bardin. Fletcher told investigators later he believed she had several thousands in a safe inside the house.

Fletcher also blamed the 66-year-old woman for her murder, saying they would have left alive had she not fought them.

“She was fighting and kicking the whole time,” he said.“She never did quit fighting.”

Fletcher showed little reaction when the verdict was announced.
Fletcher was charged with escape, first-degree murder, home invasion robbery, grand theft of a motor vehicle and burglary of motor vehicles.

Fletcher and Brown’s escape highlighted massive problems in the county jail, including security failures, overcrowding and shoddy maintenance.

An internal investigation of the jail cited personnel issues and resulted in several disciplinary actions after the escape. Paula Carter, the major in charge of the jail, retired. One corrections officer was fired and seven others were disciplined.

Fletcher and Brown were apprehended in Pomona Park three days after their escape when they returned to Putnam County. Murder and other charges are pending against Brown.
