Does anyone else find it strange that 2 children in the same age range, in the same state, within a reasonable distance from, and within a month one another, simply disappear?

A 6 year old in Naples, a 5 year old in Ocala.

I pity these poor children.....and pray for their families.

How can a child just vanish without a trace of evidence? Surely they found something at the home to give them some clues. It scares me so much to think of what this little girl went through or might still be going through.

Unfortunately Florida is the place where many convicted felons run to to escape notoriety in their hometowns. I do not believe though that the two cases are related. On Geraldo At Large last night, there was mention of a cousin of Misty's who is a sex offender and who had been in the home recently. He even stole a gun from the father of Haleigh. I am interested in hearing what the investigators have found out about this.

There is one item I struggle with -- if an intruder took this girl from her bed, near to where others also slept, was there no struggle, no sound, scream for help, no attempt to fight off or against the intruder that the other witnesses, including the 2-year old, would have overheard? Unless she was drugged, which would indicate to me 'sex offender' and perhaps leave some evidence to that end. If she went without signs of fear or fight, I would assume she was either a very heavy sleeper or had no reason to fear the perpetrator. Last, I have no grounds that I can name for this suspicion, but instinct tells me the teenaged girlfriend knows more than we have heard.

What does that have to do with anything? You're a human being, aren't you?

I just don't understand how there can be no leads? They thoroughly searched the house and no fingerprints? Nothing? It just doesn't make sense. And if you want to play devil's advocate and think that the father and gf are involved, why has there been no proof at all? No nothing? I would think that they wouldn't have covered all their bases if they did do something. So was something suspicious in the polygraph that lead police into withdrawing from a search??? And what does it mean when they say the ground work is done and now they will investigate.. what is there to investigate if they don't have any leads???

Apparently you have it all! except for compassion. Don't worry, there is still time for you to learn, and that knowledge might make you a more likeable and capable attorney rather than the pompous j/a you sound like here.

Jacob: You left out the most important message on your blog, you stated you are a professional, you left out: I HAVE NO HEART. What the h*ll does your stated mean. I am also a professional, I drive a company car, I wear suits each day, but underneath it all, I am a mother, grandmother, sister, wife and I have a BIG HEART. All I have to say to you is: KARMA. Your's will come, you dum jerk. P.S. Have a nice day !!!

They vanish without a trace because child molesters and child predators are getting more cunning everyday. If they were put in general population when they are caught and sent to prison (if children are lucky) we could get rid of most of them. As it is they are protected then released. Registering them doesn't control the problem, it just makes them more cautious. THERE IS NO CURE FOR THEM! God bless this baby and all missing and exploited children.

Does anyone know if this little girl attended school on Monday? The biological Mom was asked that question, and did not not know if her daughter had gone to school or not. Who knows what day this child went missing.

YOU may DO and HAVE all of those things but one thing is evident you do not have is "CLASS" or you would never have written such a statement.
