Its a fact that the only way someone is going to get off pills is they have to desirely want to! I am a recovering addict myself so I know from the true stand point! I have been completely clean now for 8 months and damn proud to say it!! When I discovered I was pregnant thats when I decided to quit! I do nt want to be like so many other girls I know having to fight for custody of my child over something as lame as a pill! I want the absolute best for my child and will not except anything less! I am 8 months pregnant, clean, my baby is 100% healthy having a little girl and am extrememly proud of myself for doing so! I did not have to go to rehab or eek any type of treatment! I out it in my head that his baby means WAY more to me than getting high and have done excellent! It truely is in the WANT to be a better person and a terrific parent!!!!

I have a friend that goes there. She is doing great in that program and she does care about her kids. She hasn't done drugs in a long time. The program worked wonders for her.

Drugs have a strong effect on the body. It is a physical addiction as well as a mental one which makes it harder to overcome.

This program has many success stories and some people that didn't graduate. Many of the women are at different stages in their recovery so don't assume that everyone is a "pill ho" that goes there. It is sad that our community has such a huge problem that I honestly do not see an end to a horrible situation for our youth.

Most of the women in Project Addvance are either court ordered or referred by Social Services. They are not happy campers either way. They have people aware of their situation and in their business. That is hard to take sometimes. Drugs are making the decisions in people's lives not the person. They do not want to neglect their children but their thinking processes are truly not working right. The program and support from family and friends and divine intervention makes some successful. If you do not have these things then the forecast for sucess is not so sunny.
