What about David Willis? Driving around drunk, pulling a pistol on someone. Darnell Lowery is a fine mayor. Keep up the good work Darnell!

Most of the time towns close together will have theirtopix forums cross over. Parsons and decaturville do. Scotts hill and saltillo do. Crump and savannah do. So on and so forth. Get over it.

Best thing about Saltillo? You don't have to go through there to get to anywhere else. Sorry for the good people who reside there,I know serveral personaly. The bogus tickets issued for revenue was evidently the last straw, causing people to just go someplace else to access the river or to eat(the only reason people came there). I hear that the last store has closed now, folks have to travel to buy gas or food even, and the only restaurant left is open on selected days. One of the good people there is going to have to step up and run for Mayor in the next election...remember,if you dont want to step up yourself, you have no room to gripe about the situation. To elect him the first time was understandable,to do it again, the majority of you asked for it...you got it!

I don't have to leave,I stopped coming to Saltillo along with most everyone else when the bogus ticket writing started, and I haven't received one. If ONE man can't turn a profit while operating the only store in town, the situation speaks for itself.Enjoy your prosperous economy, and your new riverfront the fines bought...I promise not to distract you from either.

How can you not leave Saltillo and also stopped coming to Saltillo? If you haven't received a ticket and abide by the law, then why worry about the part time cop? You tell me how ONE man couldn't turn a profit at the one open gas station in 12 miles that sold beer? And thank you for not distracting me while I enjoy Saltillo this summer without people like you around!!

I'm not going to reply after this post,if an arguement is what you're after look elswhere.Leaving Saltillo is impossible for me if I don't go there first...which I will not.I don't worry about the cop because I'm never there. If you can't comprehend these short sentances,I'm sorry. My thoughts are as straight to the point as I can be.If your happy with things the way they are,I,m happy for you.The store didn't turn a profit because people stopped going to Saltillo.People stopped going to Saltillo because of the cop and his bogus tickets. The cop wrote all the tickets because Mayor Lowery told him to write them.He told the cop to write them to pay for the riverfront. If this does not make sense to you,get someone to read this and explain it to you.Have a nice day.

Go to a city meeting and learn how everything is REALLY funded before forming anymore ideas. Don't want a ticket? Don't break the law. It is that way in all of Tennessee. And why does Saltillo bother you if you never come here and are in Knoxville?

FYI that post was from 2011. That isnt the same cop and I know for a fact he doesnt write a ticket if the driver is going 3-4 over the speed limit. He is a dirty cop or pulls out the dirty tricks like yall want to claim. I dont know much about the mayor so I cant say negative or positive comments without lieing.
