That means NY is down to just 2 republican districts, BOTH of which will be eliminated after the 2010 census redistricting. Soon there will be NO repubes left in the entire northeast. See ya!
OMG GOPosaurs couldn't even win with the military vote in Fort Drum!
Yep, and then the entire North East will be in the same shape as MI and CA.

This was not a victory for the Democrats, this was a sound defeat for the Tea Baggers and their leaders.

The far right has been defeated at every turn. They just do not understand that our nation is not a Fascist state. It is a moderate state.

So is this any representation of America, like you rightwingnuts claim the Gov race in N.J. was?
A district that hasn't had a Dem since 1852 decided they had enough of repubs.
Same as the General Election that gave Repubs, McCain, and Palin a very notable trouncing.
You mean a 3% pt race where 5% of the really stupid voters still voted for the republican who had withdrawn?

ROFL! People gave Maggot O a shot and he LIED LIKE A MAGGOT while making things worse and burdening our children with debt they won't even be able to pay off.

You keep living in 2008 skippy and watch your squmbaq party get swept aside in 2010 BECAUSE THEY ARE FOCUSED ON idiotic HC WHEN THEY SHOULD BE Focussed like a Laser Beam on:

#1 Fixing the Economy (producing JOBS)
#2 Ending the War
#3 Reducing the National Debt

So you picked up 2 governors seats. We got 2 more congressional seats. Last time I checked a member of Congress is WAY more important than a governor- just check their pay if you don't believe me.

So once again the repubes failed to pick up a single seat in congress, even losing one that hasn't gone to the Dems since the civil war. Yep, that's a REAL good sign for 2010.

The teabaggers drove a moderate Republican out of the race, and a Democrat won just about the reddest district in the country.
I LOVE it when Sarah Palin sets her mind to something! She's too much of a quitter, but when she focuses, it magic! My only fear is the Queen of Teabagger Nation peaks before 2012.

A moderate Republican doesn't endorse a Democrat.

Have you noticed that RINO's are like vampires. They are nice and polite, until you say they are a vampire and pull out a wooden stake, and then you see them for what they are. It's time to shine some sun light on all the RINO's. P.s. Owens...enjoy this next year. Take lots of pictures, and network. Because one year is all you will get. Enjoy.

That's because that district is going away after the 2010 census redistricting. Hopefully Owens isn't dumb enough to put too much money into a campaign next year. He should just let the Repube win.

Actually your statement is a little off.

The 2 governors seats are the same exact states the Rep took in 1993 by almost the exact margin right before the 1994 mid-term where the Rep took control of congress. It is weighing heavily on the Dems minds right now as they are seeing history repeat itself.

As far as NY23, the best thing that could have happened was for Scozzafava to drop out and Hoffman have a great showing. Even though Scozzafava has a "R" after her name she is far more left than Owens. She supports every radical agenda item that conservatives are against (tax & spend Republicans and not wanted!!). The Dems in congress would have used her "yes" vote to pretend the bills passed as bi-partisan.
