To the people that wrote letters in support of Larry Miller, publically stating that “allegations made by Brenda LaPierre were false”, I’m quite sure they weren’t. You see, when one falls victim to this behavior by an immediate supervisor, the following occurs “job performance suffers as avoidance tactics take up time and attention that otherwise would be spent on work-related items. Performance also suffers as the victim's feelings of increased helplessness and hopelessness about the situation impacts morale and productivity, and as a fear of failure and/or ridicule becomes part of the context of doing the job.” Did this happen? According to audit report, yes it did. Brenda, I’m so sorry that this has happened to you, and I’m sorry that I didn’t see the signs, you were distant, sad, withdrawn, and had isolated yourself from everyone around you. My only hope is that people can learn from this.
