Where Is God’s True Church Today?
By Roderick C. Meredith
Thousands of different church denominations claim to be following Jesus Christ. Yet they teach thousands of different “gospels” and disagree on countless points of doctrine. Is Jesus Christ the Head of all these denominations? Is Christ divided? Or is there a true Church of God that stands apart from this religious Babylon?

The doctrine of the Immortal Soul comes from...
Babylon: Fountain of Error
A great lie undergirds all the world's major religions. It could just ensnare you into idolatry - and death
Religion appears as a confused jumble of sometimes weird and wonderful ideas, a hodge-podge of strange notions, a witch's brew of exotic doctrine. Yet there's a surprising unity of belief underlying all the great world religions. On close examination it's clear that the fabric of the world's varied and conflicting religions is formed of the same warp and weft, the same materials!
And - perhaps most shocking of all in our culture - the same threads are woven into Christianity!

i agree ,they teasch error when it comes to the soul and what it is,they say that the soul is eternal, what? where in the bible does it say that the soul does not die?Interestingly enough ,that idea does not come from the bible, but from paganism.

WHICH ONE ?

If man posessed an "immortal" soul -
then he would NOT need a resurrection.

IMMORTALITY OF THE HUMAN SOUL
IS IN - OPPOSITION - TO - THE RESURRECTION

"the Christian doctrine of the resurrection of
the body from the dead was in direct opposition
to the pagan notion of the inherent immortality
of the human soul, a notion held today by the vast
majority of Christians."
-Immortality of the Soul
or Resurrection of the Dead?

Seems to me it is all a matter of interpretation. In my opinion the Bible is after all one of the greatest works of fiction. On a side note if you are in fact "resurrected" I would be immediately checked out by the fine folks at AMC, because you are indeed a zombie not a being of the lord :).

By being “absent from the body” and “present with the Lord”?
The apostle answers all of these questions for us. In verse 6, he defines “our earthly house” as being “at home in the body.” The chief characteristic of this house is that it may be “dissolved.” In other words, it is mortal. This earthly house is, therefore, our mortal body or our present mortal condition. This fact appears too obvious for further comment.
The house from heaven is “eternal” or immortal and represents the state of immortality that awaits the redeemed beyond the resurrection. Here is where the greatest misunderstanding enters the picture. Some have thought that the “house from heaven” is put on at the moment of death. But the apostle clearly spells out the TIME when he will put on immortality.

It's not that I'm Biblically illiterate as you so eloquently stated. It's that I am not going to put faith in this garbage you call a religion. I have been through the bible cover to cover, front to back. No where in this so called book of "truths" do I find any convincing evidence that it is truly the "will" of god. Bottom line is religion is a basis for control, they control you by making you believe if you don't do what they say, you will be "condemned" (go to hell) as you stated previously. I refuse to buy in to something that uses FEAR as a basis for controlling the masses. I don't need the "almighty" father to teach me how to be a good person, I would much rather rely on human instinct and basic human logic. Is it a mistake that most people who are HIGHLY educated reject religion? I think not, it's quite simple it's because it doesn't make any SENSE! And if you have any of your so called facts to support any different do share indeed, and don't tell me it's in the bible because there is no way you can back up that nonsense otherwise everyone would be part of your conformist Christian union.

I don't hate religion, it's just not for me. I'm just sick of people assuming that people who choose not to follow organized religion or don't believe in god need to be "saved". Or that they must not know anything about the bible. I was taught all of this at a very young age I was also taught to be a free thinker and come to my own conclusions on things, despite numerous failed attempts by pushy christians trying to shove their religion down my throat...maybe it turned me off a little bit being TOLD what I should believe, I will just let you know that if and when I practice a religion it will be of my own free will and nothing you or anyone else says will make my mind up for me. And also that I truly do not have anything against any form of organized religion if it's your belief than I will respect it, but ask that my beliefs are respected as well whether or not you agree with them.
