The whole church was the congregation that met for worship today.

The news media, the TV and newspaper folks, need to learn that there are no church buildings in the Bible.

Jesus said, "When two or 3 are gathered in my name, I will be there also."

Well, when that happens, they are the church and they have a worship service or do service for the Lord Jesus.

When I first read this story I thought oh how sad that they didn't have an offer for a place to hold services yet, but then I thought it was at the last minute and having that service outside under the shade of that tree was probably more of a blessing than an unanswered prayer request. I pray that someone or group will step up to help them have shelter for their congregation. Imagine what a testimony to answered prayer that would be!(An encouragement not only to the church but also to others reading the follow-up story!)

Too bad the building was not theres, they were renting the building and I doubt they will ever find the instruments they claim they bought, you will notice the pictures of the platform that their are not instruments, i'm sure they all disappeared???? If the pulpit is still there where are the Instruments they claim they purchased? shouldn't there be parts of them burnt and or melted on their platform and or thier music section?

Not if it was arson to try to cover up a burglary.

I hope if they purchased those instruments they have some receipts to verify it.

I'm sure they will say they got burnt w/ the church. but i'm sure their bank should be able to trace the monies they withdrew from the bank and that should count as a receipt right?
Also it couldn't have been a burglary because they thought their was a women in child traped inside the building.

No I don’t know how many Silas Cortez's there are in OK but I do know this one. He is a lair and a thief. He has stolen money, property and lied to my face while working for me. If you see “New Vision Construction Co.” DO NOT USE THEM. This man is the lowest form of SCUM around. He preaches the word of God on Sunday and is a lier and a thief Mon. through Sat. Any more question about this evil person? Man of God my butt.

I do feel so sorry for the good and honest congregation that have been taken in by this charlatan. I hope only the best for them. They deserve better that this. God will take care of his own.

So Im not the only one huh???? Silas cortez....What a con man!!!!!! I could write 10 pages on how he ripped me off, repeatedly, RIGHT UNDER MY NOSE!!!!!! I was so nice to that man. I made him glass after glass of ice tea, sandwiches, brownies, bought his lunch, let him eat with my family because I felt sorry for him because he APPEARED to be working so hard. He gained my trust, totally. Then I slowly began to notice little things that didn't add up. I was going with him to home depot & lowes DAILY. He seemed to know everyone in the store (part of his game) Before long,I spent ALL the money I had put aside to have my bathroom remodeled and eventually had to get a credit card. to make a long story short, he was having me purchase twice the amount of things I needed on certain items. Then he would return them for store credit. When I asked him where certain things were, he said he used them all. Thats when I got my tape measure out. I bought tiny tiles for the bottom of my shower (at $10.95 a sheet!!_ he used approx 13, but he had me buy 36!!! When I asked him where the rest were, he said he messed up on some by making special cuts. Then there was the missing grout and trim etc. etc. I also can't seem to locate the contract that he wrote up. Im sure he pilfered through all of my belongings & helped himself while I was out "BUYING MORE STUFF that was on his list. He contracted a drywall guy & an electrician, then refused to pay them, so I had to. Anyway, I am making my way to every home depot & lowes in Tulsa & letting them know. I am also taking him to small claims court for not finishing his work.(Like an idiot, I gave him an advance because He said his father died & he was crying.....he said he needed to pay to have his body flown here from texas, & I bought it, hook, line & sinker!!!) I have taken pictures of all the BAD work he slopped together on the last day while I was at work. He trashed my front yard & poured cement all over it. I could go on & on. If you would like to jump aboard & add your 2 cents on my claim then you are more than welcome.on my law suit you are welcome.

Seriously??? lets see now, somebody breaks into a church to steal a couple of horns and just to be sure they get in & out WITHOUT BEING CAUGHT....they decide to draw IMMEDIATE ATTENTION to their crime by setting fire to the place. so now we have, felony #2 to cover up felony #1. after endless research on Mr.Silis M. Cortez, it would be my guess that the musical instruments disappeared long before the fire was ever set & are in a pond shop somewhere in Okla city.

1st of all, the instrument werent the church it his sons. is it a crime to have them at there house to practice. No, nobody know who instrument are who. the church dont pay for nothing the congregation bearly put dollars for offering. they are as selfish as they can be. so why are they pointing the finger at only one person even though they to were to blame.
