Even getting lost requires being aware of your driving and it is that awareness of the driving compared to concern about being involved in a gun mishap that the question addressed.

The driving concerns me much more than concern about becoming involved in a gun mishap. I consider driving one of the most dangerous activities in which I engage, from leaving my house to getting back to it.

I am with you on the statement you made that driving is one of the most dangerous activities that a person can do. And the percent is higher for most people now days to be behind the wheel of a car every day.

A lot of people drive and are not concerned about their driving. Guess they're not alert because they depend on luck. Being alert to their driving and all conditions is being concerned.

All of those translate to potential vehicular mishaps. Unless you are thinking the DUI is gonna stop and have a drink with you.

Road rage with a gun is so rare that it is hardly significant, and even it usually starts with some driving maneuver.

Drivers dedicated to safe driving are 100% of time thinking and driving defensively so as to stay out of accidents, no matter from what cause the accident may come; DUI, traffic light, road rage or whatever.
