200 firefighters battle blaze near San Marcos Pass

I'm only about 4 or 5 miles from the fire, and I can see it escalate down the hill by the hour. The water drops seem to have very limited affect. The "sundowner" winds are expected to kick up this evening, making matters worse.

We are in no danger today, but by Thursday morning we should know whether this turns into a major evacuation.
