Rain? What rain? I got a 12 inch rain last night, the drops were 12 inches apart and it lasted about 12 seconds.

What is with all these power outages? Not just because of the storm but I remember a few weeks back power going out in various parts of town for a few days as well. El Paso electric is seriously the goldilocks of the electric industry. Doesn't work when it is cold, doesn't work when it is hot, doesnt work in storms. Only works when it is just right outside.

Yes I know things freeze in the winter and overheat in the summer, yes I know thunderstorms cause problems with the power grid, but we live in the 21st century. There are a lot of very smart and resourceful engineers in the world. Surely by now someone has invented something to keep transformers and generators from freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer. You know, maybe someone has invented a device for thunderstorms to lessen the impact of a lightning strike as well. Just maybe. El Paso electric should invest money in these kind of infrastructure improvements.

Ah screw it. It is easier just to give the CEO another raise for his "valuable service to the company."
