Time to get these damn RVs off the road. You cannot drive a semi-truck without a special license and testing. Why are retired clowns allowed to drive these gas guzzling road hogging traffic delaying monstrosities on our narrow roads with a regular drivers license? Make them take interstates or hire an escort.

A break malfunction is so rare. I have never seen one--except on a pre 1960's vehicle.

That road should be closed to RV's. They can't possible stay in their lanes while twisting and turning around the cliffs. They are such a menace.

Yeah, get those RV's off the road!! I can't stand having a vehicle that is larger than mine on the road, it's a safety issue!!

"Claxton, his wife and another passenger were driving about a mile north of Fort Ross Sunday morning when an RV on a curve crossed into the path of their Lexus, reported the CHP."

That was my uncle.

I believe there are signs (at least in Marin) telling people not to drive rigs longer than a certain size upon Hwy 1.

and of course, the drunks and the murderers are safe and unharmed...... isn't it odd that that's the way it usually is.

Roy Claxton, the man killed in the crash, was Mark's and my uncle. His wife is my mother's sister.

I am so deeply sorry about your uncle. We drove past the accident soon after it happened. Didn't stop because there were already a number of people helping and thought that we would just be in the way. I saw a woman being helped up the hill and I assume it may have been your aunt. I will never forget her face. I pray for her and your family daily and I hope you can find peace.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
