Ex-LAPD Christopher Dorner's fiery end by pyrotechnical tear gas while law enforcement officers were firing into the cabin he occuppied in southern California has a very strong parallel to the fiery end from the police against the radical group called MOVE. This fanatical black people organization in Philadelphia, PA had an incident in 1978, when police raided their Powelton village home, inwhich one police officer died and 9 MOVE members were imprisoned. After that, the MOVE group relocated further west to a house at 6221 Osage Avenue. In 1985, the group made national news when police dropped a bomb on the Osage home from a helicopter in an attempt to end an armed standoff. The explosion ignited a fire inwhich 11 people died, including 5 children and the group's leader, John Africa. Only 2 occupants survived, Ramonda, an adult and Birdie, a child. In addition, 65 homes were destroyed as the entire block burned.
