What would the benefit to La Habra Heights be to join this? Has this been discussed by our fearless leaders on the City Council?

They did approve this at, I think, the october meeting.

The state is doing a money grab and shell game.

They took the money from the cities, and are now borrowing money to pay the cities back, and the state pays all the costs of the loan. The cities are supposed to be protected in case the state defaults.

Why didn't the state just borrow the money directly, instead of taking it from the cities and then borrowing to pay them back?

I guess part of the shell game.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
