The fault is with overpaid department heads in Santa fe Springs. They have made terrible financial choices and were allowed to get away with it by Fred and the high and mighty city council. Get ride of positions that are simply not needed, sometimes I think they create positions just so that their friends can keep their jobs. I feel horrible for the city, but they get what they deserve and the little people will get trampled, while the fat heads in various department stay.

Ex Resident, be careful that you don't offend any of Latham's apologists throughout the city-- you know, the ones that were given useless and frivolous positions throughout his tenure. These people are still living on the taxpayer's sweet teet because of Fred and they will lie and cry in his defense for as long as they can benefit. You are right too, it is the real people and workers of this city who will carry the burden of this fiscal mess. SFS politics and administration are nothing more than a dressed up pig much like South Gate, Bell Gardens, and Bell.
