This is a route my family takes on occasion when traveling out of town. I don't think 65mph stands out as excessively fast. This accident could have happened to any of us who take this route (from either the point of view of the pickup or the flatbed). It just really makes me stop and think. Maybe 55 is even too high a speed for an area where there is no divider. My condolences to anyone reading who had family or friends involved in the accident.

Mr J. If you knew anything about anything, giving up your real name wouldnt have been a problem .if your a another family member, your allowed to speak your peace,if not,i care for you to please shut the hell up. sometimes,lIFE gets in the way,we work and raise kids.that doesnt mean that the garcia family wasnt in our hearts and prayers?? time has an evil way of speeding up when life gets you goin. I loved my beloved big sister.one time she told me,live your life, raise your family, she'll always love us,even tho' we didnt see much of her at all.my nephew mark,he was a good man, father, and he envoked in people that you can change and start a new life. I will miss him.Mr J, I ask you to attend the services and tell us who you are and then we will see if you have any guts.

You know what im sick and tired of reading, im the sister in law, im a good friend, blah blah blah, shut the hell up. I never heard of any of you for the past 13 years. I know this family and the hardships and good times they have endured. It is tragic what happened to the garcia family, i feel sad and hurt for johnny and ish. The only sister i knew Jessica had was Isebelle, thats' the sister she only ever talked about, yes they had close friends, and yes they had family, but for the past 13 years i never saw or heard about any of you during the holidays or any other day for that matter. I understand every family has its shares of troubles, now for most of you it's too damn late to make amends with jessica or felipe, patty or mark. So do johhny and ish a favor, shut the hell up you damn hypocrytes. If you dont like it, well tough shit, now you show your faces when this happens, now you come around when this happens, you people make me sick, get bent. where any of you there during their hardships no, during their good times, no. All of you go play in the middle of a freeway, you disgust me.

My prayers are with the grieving family. I worked with the father and he was a very kind and wonderful person. Many times I enjoyed great conversations with him. My heart breaks for the family and the loss they are going thru at this time. RIP and may the angels in heaven take care of your loved ones on earth as we are just passing thru earth and going to a better place as promised in the word of God.

Every time there is an article about some tragedy the families take over the posting. They snivel and whine about how people shouldn't say this or that and how wonderful their relatives were. These postings are open to the public, it is not some private memorial page for the family. All members of the community are allowed to comment and speak their thoughts, good or bad. There is a place on the obituaries page for memorials and remembrances. The same baloney occurred when the Almighty Aziz was shot by the cops for stabbing people, all his friends and family just assumed this was a place to post memorials about him and no other comments were allowed. 99.9% of the folks that read this never ever met or knew the people involved, so the .01% remaining got to get real.

Yes these posts are for the public, but they are meant as a means to give feedback on stories NOT as a means to throw in racism and bashing. Family members and friends have the right to respond to rude and errant remarks as the true victims in these incidents are those that are left behind. As for you, if you have nothing constructive to say about the article (or anything else apparently) then why do you even care? Yes family members/friends will tend to post more than others but as you yourself say it is open to the public so anyone's comments are allowed. If you say that 99% of those who read the story had no connections to the victims then those same 99% have no basis for making comments in the first place. We're not talking about some murderer getting killed, we're talking about three good upstanding people who died. Have you ever heard the phrase "don't speak ill of the dead"? There is a difference between commenting on an article and unneccesarily bashing people based on stereotypes and assumptions. My thoughts go out to the family and friends affected by the deaths.

Nobody gets out alive. Hey all you Christians, why so sad, like you always say "Their in a better place". If that place is better, you should be happy for them. Hey, why doesn't Jesus heal amputees at faith healing sessions?

This is completely uncalled for and you should be ashamed of yourself. Daniel is hurting and instead of attacking him you should offer condolences. Show some compassion!

Daniel my thought are with you and your family. I will always remember Patty as the happy, funny, proud of her family, friend that she was!

Who cares what the newspaper said. We lost three family members and we are hurting. Patty, Mark and uncle Javier were in the truck and they were great people. For those of you who are caring people I want to say thank you! for those of you who are jugding I'm praying for God to touch your hateful hearts.

What ever happened to the ones who lived? How are they doing? Do you care... Their grief is real to. And they were not on the wrong side of the road. Nor were they driving beyond their ability.
If you loose control, your driving beyond your ability. The survivors have to live with it. My heart goes out to them. They have the dreams of seeing the accident over and over. Those who are dead, are dead. Help the living if you care.
