Who does this AG work for?......... the Arkansa taxpayer. Who pays his wages?...... the Arkansa taxpayer. This sounds too much like the New York Spitzer syndrome. E-verify is 99.5% efective....... use it!!!

Take the education costs for every illegal child out of his salary. Then we will see where his sympathy lies.

More proof that our judicial branch is as corrupt as the legislative. They've all thrown out the Constitution and 'rule of law' so they can buy votes to perpetuate their reign of riches. Power and greed have replaced statesmanship and common-sense. We are doomed if this continues, yet the people are ignorant, selfish and self-agrandizing.
Americans need to grow up and call fools like these to accountability.

Nobody has ever complimented Arkansas for having a stellar education system.

I just do not understand why if you are "illegal"
you get the same or more benifits as the rest of us.

This being 9-11, I become incensed on reading such articles. Weren't illegal aliens enrolled in flying school in the USA, prior to flying planes into the Twin Towers, Pentagon and a Pittsburgh area field. With liberal f--king idiots interpreting laws these days, no wonder the greatest country in the world is on the way down.
These individuals, along with ALL illegal aliens should be immediately thrown out. It IS NOT just Arkansas, start in Washington, D.C. FIRST. Will never happen. So suffer the consequences.

Illegal Aliens Cost Americans More Than Taxes

http://www.northstarwriters.com/gl016.htm

So if you like higher taxes, millions of fewer jobs for Americans, higher unemployment rates, less tax revenue for the U.S. Treasury and state governments because of under-the-table payrolls, more crime, gangs, graffiti, drive-by shootings, more expensive health care and utility bills due to deadbeats, freeway congestion, more pollution, more global warming, less available housing, unlicensed and uninsured drivers on the road, overcrowded and woefully inadequate schools, in-state college tuition for illegals, more drugs, overflowing jails, more drunk drivers, higher rents due to low supply and pressing “one” for English, than you should be happy with the status quo.

The problem is that when you vote them out another comes in with dollars signs in their
eyeballs! Seems these days it is more profitable when entering into politics to go for the money than to go for bettering our country for it's citizens.

Interesting, since ‘illegals’ in Mexico can’t go to their schools.

(Mike Beebe, a Dem, is the governor of Arkansas.)

The Attorney General and the Governor are voted into office separately and independently of each other. While the governor may or may not concur, this is a decision by the Attorney General.

Get this -- the chief law enforcement officer in Arkansas actually forces citizens to forfeit their own money to reward criminal aliens.

Plus their hordes of anchor babies!

There are two issues here and I think the AG may have not been careful enough in the wording of his decision.

The one issue is forcing colleges and universities to verify that students are not illegal immigrants. Now I can see not requiring this because it would be a financial burden on the schools to have to do this.

The other issue however is the AG stating that colleges and universities MAY enroll illegal immigrants. That is a whole other issue. It's one thing to say that they're not required to verify that someone is not an illegal immigrant, it is quite another thing to say that if you KNOW that a person is an illegal immigrant you may still enroll that person as a student.

The latter should not be allowed, period. If they're in the country illegally and the insitution knows that they're in the country illegality then the instutiton(s) should NOT allow them to enroll and should revoke their student status if they have already enrolled.

If people are in the country illegally then they are a security risk. I think that this AG may find Homeland Security knocking at his door and asking for a "clarification" of his decision.

You say you "can see not requiring this [verifying citizenship] because it would be a financial burden on the schools to have to do this."

It seems like verifying citizenship would be a whole lot cheaper than providing a college education. Plus then you've got all the other subsidies the illegals would soon demand -- like affirmative action, child-care for all their anchor babies, translators, "cultural centers," etc., etc.!!
