Sounds like they read this week's "Life In Hell" comic in the "Santa Cruz Weekly". Not so funny now.

Hit in the head 10 times with a mallet! What was it-a rubber mallet? Must have a hard head to still be among us.

These low lifes are probably from the same blood as the low life gngbng.rs that drug rape the young girls in the lower ocean street area, in which the police department didnt have time or officers available to take a report of such a crime, as they were all too busy "in training", or one of the four reasons we were turned away from giving a report. Unfortunately, these crimes will continue to multiply as the enemy does birthwise, because of the police departments uncaring concern for the victims, or should I say, their fear of retaliation, as these gangs are gaining on them and if they cant handle them now, throw in the towel, which unfortunately seems to be the way. If you havent noticed, they're more into the 1 paragraph incident reports published by the banner, etc., where they prove they showed up to take a report, and thats about it.

Or maybe they were listening to Iron Maiden. Or, maybe they were going to do whatever they were going to do anyway!

That's so bizarre and brazen in broad daylight at a busy intersection. These gangsters are out of control.

Great. I rode past this intersection on my bike 5 minutes earlier. A few kooks in a creative, earthy, weird town is cool, but many different species of kooks, unstable psychiatric patients off meds, and gang-bangin'devils make for a volatile mix. Every day is like Halloween around here! Can't wait to see what Halloween is like. I miss the sanitized environment of Mountain View. Never thought I'd say that.

Check the house (dump) sharing said property line directly west of the pumpkin lot on Mission Street. The occupants are gang bangers and if you look into the front yard through the shrubbery you'll always see a person sitting on the porch working look-out. I believe that these characters are responsible for most of the Laurel/Mission area crimes. How come I know this but the SCPD may not.

Good thing it wasn't a framing hammer.
I have a feeling that these incidents will become more frequent.
The perps probably like being in the news.

All the crime within 1/2 mile of the High School should be prosecuted with additional penalties. Streets like Walnut, California, Laurel, Chestnut and others near schools should have increased protection and enhanced prosecution. The violence near our schools is unsettling.

Santa Cruz might not be a good place to let your kids go trick or treating anymore now that the gangs have taken over. It's a shame that the Democrats and their "path to citizenship" mentality has led to this...

How many freaking times do I have to clarify: They are here owing to two (2) amnesties granted by the Reagan administration. The GOP opened the door, and established the reasonable hope that all comers would eventually be amnestied.
Dems and liberals only tried to put a humanist spin on an untenable situation NOT of their making. GET a CLUE HATERS!

utterly ridiculous! Violent acts regardless of where they occur should be dealt with according to the letter of the law. No need to muddy the waters with safe school areas and what not. Besides these restrictions you suggest could actually backfire and severely punish the very people you are trying to protect.... Our exuberant youth!

Hey! Iron Maiden is an AMAZING band. but yeah, I see how it can be a bad influence and incite retaliation: "You'll take my life and I'll take yours too. You'll fire muskets but I'll run you through". haahaa!
