I'm glad to see the Sentinel give Robert some space to express his opinions/concerns. I think that perhaps there should be a regular space for dissent such as Robert, the UCSC protesters, the anti-sanctuary city people, and any other under-represented voices.

The piece is typical Kahn (Norse) psychotic nonesense. This guy has become, long ago, a do-nothing, sue-happy, in-your-face fool, who needs to be contained, who is in the way of accomplishment, any accomplishment.

What a degeneracy. And he's loaded.

This could have gone quite differently. He could have applied himself constructively.

But no, the impish role won out. And now, in hos 60s, without a grand epiphany, it's hopeless. He will never stop the schtick he knows and loves.

He has nothing but time, and he uses it to play impish games as he struts about, pretending to be other than a pain in the ---.

What's really sad is that Robert's actually a fairly bright guy. He's just misguided. Such a waste of life.
He could have contributed to society if he chose to.

Now get over it and do the right thing by reimbursing the City of Santa Cruz for its legal fees.

You always present yourself as someone who wants to do the right thing for people, now here is a chance to prove that is what you are really about.

It is so pathetic and sad how Robert plays games. He is a name caller and continually goads people and organizations who disagree with his opinion. When he is called on his facts, challenged, or arrested he cries foul.
He is skilled in persuading and recruiting certain groups, generally those who are faced with mental issues or substance abuse issues, to do his dirty work.
Currently Robert faces is a tired community. A community tired of violence, a poor economy, and childlike behavior in the downtown and council meetings. This has been damaging to his ego and his own sense of self worth.
As the community continues to ignore Robert and his infantile antics, the community needs to understand Robert will continue, and step up his narcissistic endeavor for attention.

I've never met you, Mr. Norse and the extent of my knowledge about you comes from reading these posts. I'm really not sure if the work you are doing is helping anyone; however, I respect that you seem to be dedicating your life to helping those who appear to be in need of hope. Whether their need is genuine or not is NOT my call and I'm glad I have not put myself in a position to make that judgment! Keep doing what you are doing; if anything, your efforts cause people to really think about the homeless and their condition.
For the record, I have viewed your video clips and I agree with you. I believe if it has been any Santa Cruz citizen other than you the arrests wouldn't have occurred.

You conveniently omit the key fact: we're talking about ROBERT KHAN (NORSE) here, the town imp of "independent means," which is to say he can continue indefinitely to be belligerent, harassing, abusive, abrasive and annoying, claiming "free speech" and "homeless rights" and suing along the way.

A noteworthy hot-shot and a game-changing go-getter he ain't. He's just a blowhard, in the way, a jerk. An irritant whose major mark on Santa Cruz is his long-running lack of dignified conduct. A buffoon.

That is the biggest accomplishment of your waste of A life.

LOL. Did old Norse really compare the Santa Cruz County court system with a "kangaroo military commission"?

Really, Robert? Seriously, really?

How have you avoided being committed to a mental institution all these years, man? Do they know you're out here?

We have so much important work to to right now, I hope Norse will either use his energy to help our city return to its sweet self, or get the hell out. Even the bums don't want to be represented by him. He's a fool. We are no longer even somewhat amused, go away you bad thorn.

Until Robert Norse is willing to put his money where his mouth is and actually help the homeless populations in Santa Cruz County, how could anybody begin to take this guy seriously?

Oh, come on!! You think Robert Norse is under-represented? He never shuts up, everyone knows who he is, and most people think he's an idiot. If only he could be silenced.

The credibility of the Sentinel is somewhere between zero and less than zero...Genevieve Book Walter, the "homeless sleuth" reporter is clearly anti-homeless and her ineptness at reporting accurately never ceases to amaze. She should consider a paper more suitable to her skill set, the World Weekly News or the Enquirer. Accurate reporting is an oxymoron in reference to her stories.
The SC City Council clearly wants the homeless out of Santa Cruz and more tourists in. Why else would they cut social services by 4O% and not touch the tourist center budget. Robert Norse, whatever you think of him, never fails to keep homelessness at the forefront of the issues in Santa Cruz. I am also perplexed as to why his financial status has any bearing on his advocacy for the homeless. Is he supposed to not advocate for the homeless because he has resources?
I find it disturbing to say the least that Robert's Nazi salute resulted in an arrest. Considering all the right wing nuts that are holding signs comparing Obama's health care proposal with the Nazi's his gesture seems tame. The City Council clearly used this is an effort to intimidate and silence him.
I think Robert just says what people already know...the City Council and the DTA don't want the homeless in Santa Cruz.
Maybe his Nazi salute was appropriate, considering the exclusion of gypsy's from Nazi occupied Europe. Keep talking Robert.
