goat meat, anyone?
|
He made bad decisions which he did not know how to change. I feel sorry for the animals and the owner. Why is it this happened ? are we letting or government getting away with protecting the oil companies with the cascading of oil prices. This is a consequence of the popular vote re-electing the current administration. This countries citizens are being raped for all their belongings. I am sure that the emotional effect of this situation on this individual was devastating. |

dare we ask about all the planning code and environmental health violations on the property?

1 Was this person heterosexual and married too? Just goes to show that those people can't be trusted! |

well then Jack and all you BL concerned and educated professionals- why don't you tell us this guy's name?
|
|
Well, let's look at it this way, "jeffery," the guy had the ability to give the animals away... If he couldn't afford to run his garden hose, he surely had a bucket to go down to the brook and hand carry water to the animals at least... He had choices, and just didn't TRY. He could have SOLD the animals, if he didn't care enough to give them away... So I agree with you on the fact it was probably emotionally devastating... He's probably cringing from being caught at his cruelty. But, most abusers are devastated after the authorities come in, I'd hazard. |

I did my part by being ONE of the "NEIGHBORS" who called Animal Services. I don't own you anything more than that. I did my part in helping a creature that couldn't help itself. Look to yourself of your family to help you. |

Boggles my mind when someone from the lower parts of Santa Cruz county badmouths the San Lorenzo Valley, which is mainly made up of educated and caring people.(a shout out to my fellow SLVers: you ROCK!)
Are you too chicken to come up to BL, Dave? Are you skeered you will be cornered by whiskery, corn-cob smoking men holding a shotgun to your nose? Why don't you tell this Santa Cruz County resident of 40 years where YOU live so I can tell you a thing or two about YOUR area. Thank you to Jack for calling Animal Services! |
|
why didnt he eat the goats and the chickens if he was soo poor rather than allow them to starve/

I don't feel sorry for animal abusers and they can't get enough fines for the horrific crimes they commit. I would, like other writers have said, liked to have known the name of the perpetrator and where on Roberts Road it occurred.

One thing to always note: News articles provide you with a snapshot of information and not the whole information. I'm sure the various law enforcement organizations have information that they haven't released. I'm sure they are trying to get as much information as they can to deal with this properly.
I too live in the area and I pass this house every day on my way to and from work. Originally the goats kept the grass trimmed in the front field. They moved the goats to a fenced area behind the house. The horses now live in the front field.(There were no horses on the property until a few weeks ago.) They also recently had some work done on the house.... A new coat of stucco and a few other things. One of our neighbors thought that the house had changed owners, but that has not been confirmed. I'm hoping that Animal Services is checking up on the condition of the horses. I intend to call them and see. I'm surprised they did not remove them too. I'm guessing they are in fairly good shape since they were not removed. There is also a big trailer with bails of hay near the horse corral. Maybe he is leasing the land to someone for the horses. Lots of unknowns.... I'm very glad Animal Services is involved. |

The horses are owned by someone else.

My hats off to Jack, Clay and neighbors for reporting this azz, if he had the cash for the home improvements, then he had the funds to feed the animals that depended on him!
I agree on chaining up in front field, and send a Sentinel photographer, plaster it on the front page with a story titled "Animal Cruelty" send a message!! |
Yes, we need to be kind to all creatures even those who say silly things. |

The SPCA will GIVE food to poor people for their animals.
All you have to do is ask. |
