I received a text on my Cellphone from Jamster "confirming" my order of ringtones for $9.99. Except I haven't ever ordered or used any type of ringtone. I called the Company's 800 number (offshore subcontractor) and they tried to tell me that my order had been placed by my phone at 1 PM that day. Except my phone had been upstairs on a charger, and hadn't even been used for 2 days. I wonder how many people got billed on their phonebill (Verizon) and paid it without noticing the $9.99 monthly charge for something they never ordered?
They initially refused to refund me, but when I told them I would contact the local DA, and the Attorney General's office, they said they would send me a refund check. We'll see.
