Just want to say to you ,"I couldn't agree more!" I would like to add that THE POLICE, NEED to take we little peon citizens seriously!
I cannot count the number of times I have tried to file a legitimate complaint, only to be shut down by police claiming that I did not have enough "PROOF." I am not interested to stick around to make Officials behave properly. What a sick city.
yes in america, people have rights, even the people that judgemental people like yourself do not like. obviously your paranoid rantings to the police are not going to get everyone you whine about arrested and sent away. maybe that mexican you are whining about isnt a gang banger, or even illegal, but just a working class american. yes we have to have proof in america. and to think that they shouldn't need proof is down right unamerican.

Now, loweroceanlocal, you're doing it again. The guy you just quoted said nothing about anyone's heritage or nationality or race, but you just smeared him with racism.

You are a race-baiter and you're not even very good at it.

Don't you have packing to do?

he was responding to a post that was primarily directed towards mexicans... i suggest you read up a little bit to get the context, which is what i have often said, before you come at me with your insults. he was agreeing with someone who was ranting about mexicans. now that we have that straight, my bags are already packed. yet agian here you are talkinga about me, this seems to be a pattern with you, instead of talking about the issue at hand. leaving thursday, be back tuesday... that doesnt take a whole lot of packing does it?

You were responding to post 174, who was responding to a post that didn't mention race.

You see racism everywhere. You are the most race-obsessed poster in Topix. You are a bigot and a liar, and not very smart to boot.

Good for you Harry. While the police are still trying to crack the case, you've identified the culprits. We need more American citizens like you to put the police force to shame. Imagine them trying to respect due process and silly little things like the American constitution while our city burns. Go, Harry, go!
Silly little things like US Law.

We need a few more laws so as not to step on our constitution. Like maybe US Citizenship Verification at public schools/work/social programs/entry into the US, etc...?
We do it at Airports? Why do we stand in long lines to show our papers and be inspected by the TSA and have to remove our shoes, our belts and watches, our pocket knives and toe nail clippers, our hotel jellies and shampoo...?

Silly little rules like that.

Harry, Harry, Harry. You're out of your element here. US Law requires legal immigrants to be resident five years before applying for citizenship. How are they going to support themselves if they can't work until they're citizens?

Like most Americans, I suspect you have no first hand knowledge of US immigration law, and it shows. Further legal immigrants aren't required to become citizens, ever. Nor are there children required to be citizens to attend schools. And yes, legal immigrants pay all the taxes you do, so they're entitled to the services their tax dollars pay for.

So, what SC residents are saying is,**** the rest of the town as long as your precious W/S (that means west side for all you implants.)is safe from all those gang banger. By the way, the one kid that got stabbed was talking was the one talking smack to the gang members. Sure it suck that some other kid got shot, but SC has had this problem for a long time, it was just kept down in the flats. let the "hispanics" weed themselves out, right. but now that the violence has spread to you Mr Rogers neighborhood, residents are NOW expressing outrage over gangs.
What Ever!
Why aren't the people who live down on the flats not protesting the violence like your so called Mr. Rogers neighborhoods are doing. What has kept them from going to the city leaders and protesting? Waiting for someone else to take care of you. I am really sick of hearing such racist crud from hispanics. These people are parents, relatives and friends of the kids shot. Get up off your fannies and express your outrage against the gangs in your neighborhood. Quit griping when others choose to do so in theirs. And by the way, so called "talking smack" should get no one killed, ever. When I was a kid we all did the same type of talking and guess what, no one died because of it.

put the shoe on the other foot and look at it from the view of a legal mexican american. oh they are going to get pulled over, and the cops will " find" something illegal.... more like plant. and more like make up probably cause to pull them over in the first place. how would you like to have that happen to you, on your way to work, or church??m just because idiots like you think that anyone with brown skin must be illegal.
Good Grief, do you really believe the cops would actually do that?
I know quite a few cops and not one would do that. Are you on meds for your paranoid delusions? You do realize that we are pretty much the only country in the world that has such loose borders, don't you? It isn't about race, I feel the same way about anyone coming here illegally. Illegal means against the law. Its not a suggestion its a law. The problem I have with illegals is from my personal experience they come here, get so much from our government and simply do not respect us or our country. Be proud or your heritage by all means but do not disrespect our flag or country. And I know, not all illegals feel that way. But in my experience they are few and far between.

I totally agree! What is it with the John Stewart Co. has changed the housing from HUD to "tax credit" with none of the protections of HUD housing. They took the public park, which I do not think the local residents realized they had given up their park to this company, and do not want to be part of the community as evidenced by their taping off the park during peaceful public demonstrations of support for Carl. Carl and his friends have been hanging out in the park and Grandview Street for years, long before the stewart company began managing the property, and that means recent gang activity should not be attributed to the local boys that grew up in the area.
