Sad how you think posting comments on the SF New Mexican will justify what I call a tragedy. We have a child together and with that child is family. Crazy or not that doesn’t matter it's still family. I totally agree truth is good.

LeBlanc is a wife-beating bum who threatens with his department-issued gun. His ex, Angela, is not a liar, but finally saw the light and got her stuff together.

Oh, but he blames it on PTSD, so that makes it O.K.? When children are around? I think not.

o.k. people let this issue rest!!! A misunderstanding between a son and mother has blown out of proportion. Chris, whom ever you are leave it alone. You should of never responded to a man who has nothing else to do but focus on every other persons life. Poor man has nothing else to do but search the news for things that do not pertain to him.
PC Chavez, you feel he is blaming a medical issue that he received while in Iraq, fighting to give jerks like you the freedom to open mouths, well you go to Iraq and see how you come back. None of your business or anyone else's!!!!! Let my son and I resolve this issue without anyone's help!!

While I appreciate service to our country, it is an insult to this country's founding principles to claim that the war in Iraq has been fought on behalf of our 'freedoms.'

Alright everyone, a misunderstanding between a son and his mother has been blown out of proportion.

Chris, whomever you are, you should of not commented to a poor man's comments( George), who evidently has nothing else to do but read the news and put in his two cents.
PC Chavez how dare you judge someone who went to Iraq to fight to give jerks like you the freedom to open their mouths and blast them. YOU go to Iraq and let's see how you come back. Of course this will not happen only cowards open mouths and insert their feet, so you must have a large mouth. Leave his children out of this!!!!!!!

Let this issue rest my son and I will resolve this issue without anyones help.

Everyones needs to butttttttttttttttttt out.

Chris, I am not an old crazt bat, stay out of this problem I have a feeling you are the cause of this as well.

I will not repond to any more comments made. This is over and done with, go about and find someone else to blast.

What a bunch of hooey.

Any bum that thinks they can beat up and put a gun to the head of one of my relatives who I love (and who doesn’t even weigh 100 pounds) makes it my business. He should not be issued a gun. I know what hearings he has gone through so far and about his psyche evaluations. Yet, he got a promotion and is still out there running around with a gun. I will never, ever shut up until the SFPD does something about this. Never.

P.S. He had no business voluntarily going to Iraq when he should have stayed home and taken care of his family. They wouldn’t have lost their house.

actually it is everyone biz to make sure we have L.E.O. who obey the law, don't abuse their powers, or weapons and most importantly don't run to their mommies to bail them out or speak for them on a public website. What I wonder is where did mommy's little baby learn that it was OK to hit a woman?

LeBlanc is a SFPD which makes it everybody's business. Besides, where did he learn this wife-beating habit (looking at his Mom)? How many did he witness to learn to disrespect women?

fighting Iraq makes them soldiers not saints. and isn't the military dealing with a high rate of suicides and murder/suicides from soldiers? seems like they're having a real issue with violence, wouldn't you?

There is a single soldier who fought in Iraq that made one damn bit of difference in our freedom to exercise our 1st amendment rights. They got brutalized, traumatized, they brutalized and traumatized all for an illegal and immoral war.
Thank you

for your service Col. Hawthorne. Unfortunately I believe that this story about soldier suicide on Memorial Day instead of stories remembering and honoring our veterans are going to be the norm. Especially when the writers are young and inexperienced and looking for a "shock value" story for a very liberal paper that probably doesn't care to highlight veteran victories. You are part of the greatest generation-I fear we are losing the sense of what that means. I have many family members that are part of that generation including one buried at Normandy. Please know that there are many of us who applaud you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

"Your story of civilians commemorating the deaths of "suicide victims" at Rosario Cemetery desecrates all the honorable soldiers' deaths at National Cemetery next door."

How in the hell is there any logic to that statement? That makes about as much sense as saying a story about baseball players desecrates the memory of football players.

Then why did you people allow them to be sent over? I love the way you condem the war but it seems the MAJOIRTY of the nation refused to take a stand and not allow it to happen so you are as guilty as BUSH when it comes to this, in fact you are worse, you allowed it and now you condem those who answered the call that you allowed to go out.

"YOU PEOPLE" WTF!? I was one of MILLIONS of people in the streets fighting the LIES of the war-monger in chief! The 60% plus of Democrats, including Tom Udall, in the House voted against it. 42% of the Democratic Senators voted against including Jeff Bingaman.

And you are FLAT OUT WRONG when you say we condemn those who followed the orders to engage in the illegal and immoral war. We were the ones raising hell about the level of troop strength the lack of equipment, and the lack of veterans' care.

So stick it! You are flat wrong and attempting to rewrite history. If it hadn't been for the corporate media, a concerted propaganda effort by the Reich-wing echo machine, and the bible thumpers that wanted a religious crusade against the godless "THEM" , and gutless political cowards the immoral and illegal war would not have occurred.

Hey Truett - What do you have to say to General Sanchez? "...he also made what appeared to be a more startling claim, at least considering its source. Sanchez said that he was speaking out in order to "ensure that the future leaders of America clearly understand the failures that occurred, so that our soldiers are never abandoned on the battlefield again like mine were."

Was Sanchez saying that the soldiers tried for abuses at Abu Ghraib were "abandoned" by civilian leaders like President Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, who blamed the scandal on "a few bad apples," while denying what we now know -- that the roots of the abuse lay in policies approved at high levels of the administration? If so, that would be a pretty explosive allegation coming from the top commander of our Iraq forces at the time.

My personal opinion of Iraq, is that we should have finished the job during Desert Storm. This time around I find no justification and I stood against us going to Iraq, in fact I testified to some senators concerning the claims of WMD, that what WMD Saddam had was destroyed during Desert Storm. The problem I have is when people belittle the sacrifice troops have made in Iraq because they don’t like the war. It is not the troops but the Government and the support they had from a blind public that deserve our ire. It is not the troop in the fox hole that makes policy but it is our elected leaders, that troop signed a contract with the American People and swore that he would follow the orders he received from those elected officials, and the buck in the case of Abu Ghraib belongs on the desk of those elected officials who made scapegoats of troops who were living up to that contract.
You are wrong in attempting to place the blame on “bible thumpers” the majority of Christians question the actions of the Government in this case, the problem comes in that the media takes those who are in high visible positions that backed Bush and try to claim that this is all Christians. I know many non-Christians who supported Bush with far more zeal that Christians did or do.
I have seen too many cases of neglect and outright attacks on Veterans returning from this war and I guess I am just a little touchy when it comes to the subject of our Veterans. I know from firsthand experience the problems faced by returning Veterans, I lived through them after Nam and again after Desert Storm and a few other actions in which I was involved.

"The problem I have is when people belittle the sacrifice troops have made in Iraq because they don’t like the war." Who? A few idiots here and there? Hell if anything I feel people went way the hell out of the way to protect the myth of the trooper withe the melted chocolate bars.
"You are wrong in attempting to place the blame on “bible thumpers” " I ain't buying a your anecdotal denial. I've know too damn many. The cover sheet crt@p that came out a couple of weeks ago. the proselytizing. the"send us money so we can buy bibles to save their souls, General officers preaching My god's better than their god. Jesus killed Mohamed ect.
"I have seen too many cases of neglect and outright attacks on Veterans returning from this war and I guess I am just a little touchy when it comes to the subject of our Veterans." You might have but I'll be damn if I've talked to a single vet who has reported anything along those lines. The biggest bi tch has been the total clusterfuck at the VA.
