This is still unproven theory
Science is way too infantile and knows nothing except for superficial phenomena related to particle-wave properties of gross matter and this too it knows in an inferential way.

Most of its claims are lies since there's a powerful coalition of scientists and government officials who prevent the true picture of science with all its serious limitations from coming to light.

Science knows nothing about origins of reality or personality or sentience or behavior or motive or intent or subjectivity or death and other fundamental issues .

What you are describing can just as easily be applied to India, or perhaps pretty much anywhere in the world.
Yes, in present times it does apply to India but not so in the past when everything was far more peaceful.

On the other hand, the barbarous cults of the ME brought ruin, genocide, bloodshed, demon worship, bigotry, ignorance and evil to the region from the very beginning and the perverse pattern continues till the present.

By right eugenics I mean avoiding abnormalities like incest/inbreeding and marrying a person of decent personality traits and seeing to it that a prospective spouse's family medical record does not carry mental or physical diseases of a serious nature or that there's no incidence of substance abuse or suicide or homicide in the family tree as far as can be seen since heredity is transmitted to offspring and besides husband and wife should be compatible where temperaments are concerned .
You do realize that the Nazis shared the same idea?

You missed my point. I asked you to argue why your path was better. Instead of "proving" (i.e. giving me reasons, instead you choose to continue to elaborate on the details of the path. I am still looking for a reason WHY your other worldly path is a better path.

I value concern for others, you seem to indicate you value concern for self. I value a this wordly path, you seem to indicate you value an other wordly, or post wordly path.

What we are left at the end of the day are values and preferences. None of it is based on scientific truth.

If you have anything to add, I am all ears, but so far I dont find the value system promoted by your path particularly appealing to my goals or compatible to my own value system, which seems to be comparatively less sociopathic.

You are romanticizing the past. Likely it was as awful as the present. Human nature really hasnt changed much over the years.

Your statements about the ME appear to be projections of the mental categories that your psyche utilizes. One could easily see the world through rose covered glasses as well.

But surely you can work within the system to provide him the same opportunity that you share to improve his economic outlook in the long term, as well as offer emergency assistance to alleviate his lack of food in the short term (I know you contribute to charities). This is all basic human values.
LOL.

Cheap charity of this kind can alleviate human material want for the moment but cannot eradicate poverty in the person's life if he lacks the capacities of diligence and sincerity to better his living conditions.

Besides, despite billions being spent on charity, poverty still continues unabated and in fact the number of poor is on the rise everywhere.

Most importantly, materialistic philanthropy cannot better a person's morals nor can it change a person's innate capacity nor can it cause a shift in his consciousness.

The advice I offer the middle classes and the poor is to marry late or to stay single if lack of money is a constant problem despite one's best efforts or to marry late and to produce just 1 kid.

I make it clear that being a burden on others is not a good thing and that one should take responsibility for all of one's actions and bear the consequences while seeking minimal material inputs from state or from private donors. No passing the buck.

In general, the advice I give rich and poor is to marry and to procreate after taking into consideration social, economical, health, family history, educational, personality, temperament and other compatibility factors so that suffering does not increase but is reduced due to marital alliance.

The NAZI idea was to kill the unfit, whereas the idea of the HEBREW PATRIARCHS was to further damage the human gene pool by promoting incest.

Both ideas are vulgar, based on ignorance and anti-existence.

My idea of sound eugenics is to use compatible personality traits, family medical history, family record of substance abuse/suicide/criminality and temperament among other traits to improve marital matches so that the family gene pools get further refined and not more damaged as generations go by.

As usual you're making silly excuses to cover up the barbarism of the ME tribes especially the Egyptians, Arabs and Hebrews when evidence to the contrary exists, as, for instance, the vile events narrated in scripture.

WHY your other worldly path is a better path.
Any idiot can see that a person is the architect of his own destiny and that simply giving away in charity cannot reduce suffering/poverty in the world and the evidence on offer is that despite spending trillions of dollars in helping the poor over the millennia yet poverty remains and is spreading everywhere.

The poor are suffering due to lack of money and on account of personality defects, while the wealthy are suffering due to personality flaws.

So, aside from giving a token amount to the needy, it must be made clear to everyone that each one is responsible for his own actions and that passing the buck is not a good idea.

If people get this basic idea ingrained in their heads, I am sure it'll help solve many of the problems facing the world and make people more mature so that they make better choices and imbue them with a greater sense of responsibility - as I have said above, each person is ultimately the architect of his own destiny.

YOU ARE THE ARCHITECT OF YOUR OWN DESTINY

Everything boils down to causation or to karma and so each person should act wisely and make the best possible use of his faculties and employ his material resources in a sustainable manner for in the ultimate analysis each person is the architect of his own destiny.

Beyond scientific truth based on the surface phenomena of classical physics, quantum laws, Planck scale, cell structure and chemical reactions are the deeper causal laws governing the origins of the universe, fine tuning of existence, consciousness, life, personality, death and paranormal states.

NEVER TURN TO SCIENCE TO ANSWER THE DEEPER QUESTIONS OF EXISTENCE:

1) Never employ scientific truth to evaluate the higher causality that is way beyond the scope of science.

2) If a person is stupid to turn to our crass materialistic science to explain the most fundamental questions pertaining to consciousness, life, life events, fears, joys, morality, peace, happiness, character building, motives, will, instinct, desire, aspiration, subjectivity, relationships, discrimination, judgement, personality, death, origins of the universe, fine tuning of existence and paranormal states then the stupid person who turns to the deluded scientists for advice on these most fundamental issues will be misled and sink to a degraded level of existence - a case of the blind leading the blind with both falling into the ditch.

3) For guidance in these most fundamental affairs as mentioned above, mystical experience is the best bet but if the inner capacity for the mystical experience is lacking and if the person does not have access to a true mystic then the person should rely on the ancient wisdom traditions attributed to civilized or to non-barbaric sources for guidance.

Frijoles to Eric----While you were on sabbatical, we established two truths about Mr Hughbe - that he doesnt know much about US history

HughBe--- I shall not bother to ask you to support your CS as that would be putting hell on your already hellish back. Now son, I sought clarification from Eric because I did not readily understand his intention and the truth is had I not been suspicious of his motives then it would have made all the difference, I believe.

Frijoles--- and that he doesnt see himself as black (i.e. African-American).

HughBe--- Correct although that was never discussed. I see myself as a jet-black Jamaican and one who is truly very SATISFIED in his skin. I am being TRUTHFUL and serious, I would NEVER exchange it for another colour.

Note, I would expand my 9 inches to 12 inches and if that is achieved then I would be 3 TIMES your 4 inches.

Frijoles -- "George Washington Carver reputedly discovered three hundred uses for peanuts..."They also credit him possibly for the proliferation of peanut butter...
Also,"....Jamaican Peanut porridge is a delicious breakfast treat. It is a favorite of vegetarians because it is high in protein..........

Eric---I figured it out...He likes peanut butter because he can't get it up!

HughBe---- Correct Eric but let me complete your thought by adding ---when I bend over BUT not when my sister does.

Now take a look at the complete sentence below.

"He/Hugh likes peanut butter because he can't get it up!" when I bend over BUT not when my sister does.

Now Eric, have I not repeatedly told you that I am not like you and Frijoles? YES. So, please remember and understand it now. Thank you.

I know that you would like to believe this. But you don't know this for a fact.
Not all pleasure-seekers are shallow, empty types and not all those who choose to deprive themselves are virtuous and positive people.

<quoted text>
The opposite of happiness is sorrow.
So, how do you get out of this vicious cycle?
There's a constant tussle between these two extremes in ordinary life with heredity, environmental influences, diet and education playing a determining role in this clash for supremacy between happiness and sorrow that tears the person apart in the ensuing fight.
Human beings are slaves of the senses and big egoists and so it's next to impossible for the average person to shake off his attachment to sensual excesses and to egoism.
If the happiness, or rather the bliss, that you aspire for is of the unshakeable kind that neither good circumstances nor bad happenings can shake then it is of the right kind but to attain to that superior state of happiness (bliss) would need a Herculean discipline based on sense control, clearing out of the unregenerate impulses embedded deep in the subconscious, cultivation of detachment and flowing with the higher laws of being and becoming.
Equanimity is the key word.
Even a small sincere step taken along this path should yield some positive results over time....
Of course no one can be in a state of bless the time. I agree. And I wouldn't want to.(If you're happy all the time, you'd have nothing to compare it to.)

Doesn't mean it shouldn't be one's goal/

Excuse me!

What is this, a philosophical dictatorship?

Guessing you never read the little book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull"

Interesting that pleasure seems to be an almost dirty word for you.

Cannot a beautiful sunset bring one pleasure?

The corollary to your statement would be that sadness, or a lack of pleasure is noble, positive, selfless, virtuous.

Is this true, in your mind?
