I'm your beloved kid.

A kid has every right to butt in when Papa is busy with others or to arm-twist Papa in giving him attention. This kid also corrects Papa when Papa errs for has it not been said that child is father of man? This kid of yours doesn't mind when Papa growls at him.

SUSIE TYPED THIS ON THE ALLAH THREAD:

"Elijah the prophet also brought a child back to life. Fitting in this life he's a child psychiatrist."

JOEL'S REPLY:

Resurrecting a dead person is done by vitalists.

A vitalist is a yogi who commands a part of or the whole of the vital range of cosmic consciousness.

Actually speaking, the yogi needn't call back the escaped vital power since it's the physico-vital that is responsible for life in the body.

The physico-vital is an inferior current of the manifested vital that infuses matter to animate or enliven it.

A device that generates the correct electro-magnetic frequency can resurrect dead tissues and corpses.

The electromagnetic force is also an aspect of the physico-vital since the vital force is also responsible for the animation of the gross physical forces.

It's been an aim of mine to work closely with a genius-engineer on a vibrometer, an electromagnetic device that can revive dead tissues and corpses when it generates the correct frequencies. Given my yogic experiences (that're spontaneously continuing till now) and my exposure to the physical sciences, I know that it's possible to revive the dead employing the correct frequency/frequencies of the em force.

I'd love to work on the vibrometer with a maverick like Nikola Tesla, who, by the way, was deeply influenced by the mind-matter lectures of Swami Vivekananda that he attended and who he reportedly meet on several occasions when Vivekananda visited the US.

Tesla is reported to have said that if one wishes to know the secrets of the universe then one would have to concentrate on energy, vibration and frequency which determine the nature and function of the universe. Correct. I add consciousness to the list.

What is the purpose of religion?
Throughout the history of man, religion has been present. Religious beliefs have affected everything from personal ethics to national politics. It has been an integral part of many societies in our past and present. However the question remains:
What is the purpose of religion?
Religion has been presented to explain unknown intellectual problems (Comte, Tylor), to explain strong and abstract emotional feelings (Marett, Malinowski, Freud), to oppress social groups (Marx), to connect society (Durkheim), to explain arbitrary suffering (Weber), etc.
Many other purposes for religion have been theorized but no universal answer has been found.
Will a single answer ever be found? Is there only one answer?
Possible answers, further questions or any comments are welcome!
Are people that cling to their privacy or their free speech or their right to be left alone absent a search warrant just as bad?

How conspiracists think
New research helps explain why some see elaborate government plots behind events like 9/11 or the Boston bombings
http://www.salon.com/2013/04/30/how_conspirac...
....Interestingly, belief in conspiracy theories has recently been linked to the rejection of science.... These findings are alarming because they show that conspiracy theories sow public mistrust and undermine democratic debate by diverting attention away from important scientific, political and societal issues.......
....Since a number of studies have shown that belief in conspiracy theories is associated with feelings of powerlessness, uncertainty and a general lack of agency and control, a likely purpose of this bias is to help people “make sense of the world” by providing simple explanations for complex societal events — restoring a sense of control and predictability. A good example is that of climate change: while the most recent international scientific assessment report (receiving input from over 2500 independent scientists from more than a 100 countries) concluded with 90 percent certainty that human-induced global warming is occurring, the severe consequences and implications of climate change are often too distressing and overwhelming for people to deal with, both cognitively as well as emotionally. Resorting to easier explanations that simply discount global warming as a hoax is then of course much more comforting and convenient psychologically. Yet, as Al Gore famously pointed out, unfortunately, the truth is not always convenient....

As with everything within the dualism of the mental,, vital and physical space-time,, guns serve a dual purpose and can be used in self-defense or as a weapon of terror/offense against fellow human-beings or aimed at animals, birds and other lower life forms. The use to which a gun is put to would depend on the nature and motive of the person who handles it. Still others may value a gun for the sake of art and there are individuals who collect guns, swords and knives as part of an art collection devoted to weaponry.

Heaven is another dimension and in a circuit above us. There are 3 entrances to heaven and hell on earth. The Bermuda triangle, the devils triangle and the third is in the north atlantic off the coast of Norway, each serves 2 continents. The entrance to heaven is a whirlwind and to hell is a whirlpool. Hell is also a black hole and is freezing cold, and utter darkness. It flows in a straight line thru time and space forever. Heavens weather is perfect. The sun is warm and there is a cool breeze. There is a lot of fellowship in Heaven but in Hell you're all alone. Hell is also a troubled sea and eventually your spirit will be snuffed out, drowned. The Hebrew word for spirit is ruach and it means breath or wind.

The energy in all of us is what lives on after the death of the soul (body). When we die, we lose heat and weight, both are associated with energy and includes our mind and consciousness. I believe it is possible to revive somebody, it happens all the time in hospitals, etc. but after a few hours or so, they're a goner. Especially after 3 days or so.

Guns are merely an object. Your interpretation of what they mean - their symbolic meaning is a cognitive act.

Independence implies freedom from something (one could just as easy interpret guns as a symbol of dependance)- its all in your head according to ones world view.

If your world view is that the world is an unsafe place, then obviously you would interpret gun ownership as a way to make that place safer by giving yourself a degree of independence from existing conditions. If your world view is that the world is a safe place, then one could equally interpret gun ownership as an unnecessary complication into your life, and therefore a burden and a dependence upon a crutch to make you feel better.

Its all about creating predictability of one's "world" around them. And that "world" is more in one's head than anywhere else, IMO.

What exactly is your theory?

What is the support for your theory?

What are the competing alternative hypothesis?

How does your support negate the competing hypotheses?

If you can START to fill in those questions, then you are on the entrance way to logically sound scientific thinking.

Republicans embrace conspiracy theory that DHS is buying up ammo

James Inhofe and Jim Jordan believe the Obama Administration is trying to curb access to bullets

http://www.salon.com/2013/04/30/republicans_e...

A conspiracy theory is getting renewed life among Republicans who claim that the Obama administration, specifically the Department of Homeland Security, is buying up ammunition in order to thwart gun owners by taking over the market.

Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., and Rep. Frank Lucas, both Republicans from Oklahoma, introduced a bill last week to crack down on the alleged practice......

....Even the NRA debunked these kinds of conspiracy theories in a press release last summer, saying that the DHS buying ammo is perfectly normal:“Much of the concern stems from a lack of understanding of the law enforcement functions carried about by officers in small federal agencies. These agents have the power to make arrests and execute warrants, just like their better-known counterparts at agencies like the FBI.”.....

More likely the other way around.

The come FROM a sense of public mistrust.

And I don't see many NON-conspiracy types being swayed or distracted by these folks.

It's more like background static.
