I wish I could care about this election, but I don't. With the triumvir of Alex Brown, Ed Reynolds, and James Marshall running Silver into the ground and denying reality, the rest doesn't seem to matter.

Isn't this the guy that runs Mary Lynne Newell's "catch and release" program for criminals? I don't think I want more of the same for DA. I'll take the female that is running. I've heard good things about her.

What?? She's from the SAME office!!! Used to see her all the time having lunch with defense attorneys......Friends or not, that doesn't look good.

They are ALL from the same office. Did you expect someone from New York City to run for the job? Zsoka has a track record of catch and release. I don't think this female does. Or at least, not as bad as the rest.

Or at least, not as bad as the rest.......that's sad that you are willing to settle for a lesser of two evils. That office is the worst. Used to wonder who's side they were on.

Kinda like your hispanic judges and sheriff have done? Wow! Basing a choice on race. No wonder that place is so screwed up....

You must be new to this state. Lesser of two evils is the state motto. If you think the current candidates for DA are all bad, there's nothing stopping YOU from running for the job. Do it and you'll get my vote.

Lived here my whole life. I also had the "good fortune" of working with the DA's that you speak of. It really sucked!

George Zsoka is the person in charge of the case of the murder of Roland Salvatore, my son. He didn't want to waste money trying the murderer because of the 'castle law'. So the murderer went free immediately. In light of new evidence that it was a premeditated setup , the murderer should be brought back in for questioning. When are the elections?
we are doomed

The corruption in the DA's office is in direct proportion to the corruption in the Grant Co. Sheriff's office and the Silver City PD. Did you know when I first moved here, the officer now in line to be the next Chief of Police was setting up "free" - illegal cable for my neighbor? I also Know someone who has had many police reports "lost" as the other party involved seems to always get a "free-pass" from all of our local law informent agencys.
I know from personal experience the DA's office, like the others, is very much corrupt. It seems no one in this town, working in a position to seek justice is at all interested in seeking it; or with helping victims, reducing crime rates, ect. IT seems those who have the power to make the right choices and to directly impact a positive change in our community are uninterested. They pride themselves in what they are and what they have, instead of what they've done. What a tradegy of personal investment to be powerful and lazy - apathetic. Wonder how different our city would be if those in positions of power took the charge to CARE, to uphold the LAW rather than upholding their secret "good 'ol boys" code of ethics?
