Scary, luckily this woman wasn't seriously injured. Hope the judge locks them up for a long time.

I was so confused when I saw the headline. This is not par for the course here in Silver. But when I saw it happened in Cruces it all made sense.

Don't worry. The judge will give each of them a hug and say they are misunderstood and give them probation and allow them to keep the stuff they bought. If we had judges that looked out for the public it may be different.

They will most definitely receive probation for their crimes! What is happening to our system?

I hope the judge does more than slap them on the hand! I hope he makes them pay restitution to both the store & to the victim, along with serving at least a month in jail...and not sitting on their butts watching tv, getting 3 square meals, medical & shelter from the winter cold, but doing some trash clean-up from the roadsides, etc!

Uh huh, it will be a long time before the woman that was robbed will feel safe and get over the fact that she could have easily broken her hip or sustained a fatal head injury....all for the sake of these POS shopping spree. Month is not nearly long enough time in lockup, make the time served worthwhile. Ya feel safe going to the mall at 4 in the afternoon, now?

You will notice I wrote "at least a month." But, I agree more would be better. I just don't think it will happen.

If the justice system continues to fail individual citizens will begin to administer their own version of "justice". Not a good scenario, but probably inevitable.

I guess Wallmart doesn't ask for ID when you use a credit card???? Should have been a big red flag. Thanks Wallmart! Yah, they will just get probation from the plea bargin. At least the Cruces PD can catch someone unlike our own Silver City PD where everyone is related and their too busy holding hands in the parking lot of Jose Barios"the squad car sweeties"
