If you talk to the people that make the distintion between Southern and Nothern Calif, it happens at the Tehachapi mountains. As far as I've been concerned there has alway been three divisions to Calif, southern, central, and northern. The break-off for northern Calif. would be just north of Sacramento.

Northern Cal is considered everything from Big Sir, and everything above it, which includes Monterey, Carmel, SF Bay area, SiliconValey, San Jose (which btw is the SF Bay Area), Also the northern line is drawn inland at Fresno, as well. All you have to do is read up... this is not my IMO it is a fact. All you need to do is go to your search bar (WEB) and type in your search question. there is a lot of information on this subject.
Hate to disagree with our esteemed chef, but if something is 'considered' versus 'defined', it is not 'fact', but opinion. There is no official border. And that's fine, it doesn't really matter any more than whether 'the City' is SF or LA.(Yes, I had a roomie in college - surprise, from SoCal - who insisted 'The City' was LA.)

Agreed. Does it really matter? Do so many people need to feel better than or plain hate, just to feel happy or good about themselves?

This is what happens since you allowed marriage between gays. The Democrat party wants free sex for all and wants to profit from it. It must be outlawed and only allowed for marriage couples of the opposite sex, but only the Republicans have the curage to get govrment off our backs.

Actually, I was just trying to be funny. I grew up believing, NORTH of Sacramento is northern California, and NORTH of San Fransisco is northern California. We have always refered to San Fransco as Southern California. Central California I never heard of but it does make sense. I remember when they tried to vote to separate the states, that would have been great! Noorthrn, Central, and Southern, or just North & South.

"Sex Trafficking: Identifying Cases and Victims
by Robert Moossy, J.D.
Editor's Note: This article is derived from a presentation given by the author
at the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) Fourth National Human Trafficking
Conference in Atlanta, Ga., in September 2008. The National Institute of
Justice participated in the conference, which was funded in part by
components of DOJ, including the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Office
for Victims of Crime.
A police officer at a mall is approached by a frantic and scared young woman
running from a store that sells provocative women's clothing. She asks for
help and says she's being held against her will. Later, she tells the police that
she is a U.S. citizen and is being beaten by a pimp who is forcing her to
prostitute herself in motels throughout the area.
An anti-trafficking hotline receives a call from a man who says he has just
been to a brothel, where he met a Central American woman who cried and
said she was afraid the brothel operators would hurt her family in her home
country if she did not prostitute. The caller says the brothel is next to a
migrant labor community and the women in the brothel are undocumented
and afraid of being deported.
Federal agents receive a call from a worried parent who says his 13-year-old
daughter is engaging in commercial sex to earn money for a man she calls
her boyfriend.
This is sex trafficking, and these women are its victims.[1] If properly
identified, investigated and prosecuted, the traffickers in these examples
face 15 years minimum mandatory imprisonment and up to a life term in
federal prison. Such severe facts and corresponding punishments confirm
that sex traffickers are, indeed, engaged in modern-day slavery.
Sex trafficking is a particularly degrading form of human trafficking, defined
generally as recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting, providing or
obtaining either:(1) an adult for commercial sex by force, fraud or coercion,
or (2) a juvenile for commercial sex, regardless of the means. Law
enforcement and our nongovernment-organization partners most often see
cases in which pimps coerce women and girls, both U.S. citizens and aliens,
into prostitution."
If America has such an 'issue' about immagration, why are the citizens saturating themselves with self indulgence?Pretty disgusting if you ask me. I wonder
how many posters out there that complain on a general basis actually participate in
this kind of activity?Wow.
