sexual trafficking and child prostitution are important issues for the U.S. Department of Justice. they are vigorously prosecuting these sexual exploitation rings.

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/nij/journals/262/sex...

to quote:

"Sex Trafficking: Identifying Cases and Victims
by Robert Moossy, J.D.

Editor's Note: This article is derived from a presentation given by the author
at the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) Fourth National Human Trafficking
Conference in Atlanta, Ga., in September 2008. The National Institute of
Justice participated in the conference, which was funded in part by
components of DOJ, including the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Office
for Victims of Crime.

A police officer at a mall is approached by a frantic and scared young woman
running from a store that sells provocative women's clothing. She asks for
help and says she's being held against her will. Later, she tells the police that
she is a U.S. citizen and is being beaten by a pimp who is forcing her to
prostitute herself in motels throughout the area.

An anti-trafficking hotline receives a call from a man who says he has just
been to a brothel, where he met a Central American woman who cried and
said she was afraid the brothel operators would hurt her family in her home
country if she did not prostitute. The caller says the brothel is next to a
migrant labor community and the women in the brothel are undocumented
and afraid of being deported.

Federal agents receive a call from a worried parent who says his 13-year-old
daughter is engaging in commercial sex to earn money for a man she calls
her boyfriend.

This is sex trafficking, and these women are its victims.[1] If properly
identified, investigated and prosecuted, the traffickers in these examples
face 15 years minimum mandatory imprisonment and up to a life term in
federal prison. Such severe facts and corresponding punishments confirm
that sex traffickers are, indeed, engaged in modern-day slavery.
Sex trafficking is a particularly degrading form of human trafficking, defined
generally as recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting, providing or
obtaining either:(1) an adult for commercial sex by force, fraud or coercion,
or (2) a juvenile for commercial sex, regardless of the means. Law
enforcement and our nongovernment-organization partners most often see
cases in which pimps coerce women and girls, both U.S. citizens and aliens,
into prostitution."

Gee people, what's wrong with you. Don't you know, if it feels good go and do it. Isn't this what the liberal press wants us to believe.

It's not, it's part of the 'Cesspool' and a lot of it's debris blow up here with the wind. Anything south of Corning is central California.

This is Bay Area news. Not Northern California news.

There is no actual division between Southern California and Northern California. However, most Califprnians would say the division begins at Big Sir, Monterey area. Although I must admit, I'd like to divide the two in half. I am Northern Californian and I see a huge difference between the two.
I live in San Jose, Bay Area and am a culinary chef. Funny enough, I consider myself a Northern Californian.

What's with all the dancing cops?! I don't even get the message, what are you trying to say? Are you saying that the police are giving free tap dancing lessons at bathrooms now? LOL

I consider Stockton Northern California as it is in the division line. In Northern Humboldt california we refer to Stockton as the Central Valley. However, if there really was a division it would be considered on the norhtern side, I believe (could be wrong about that.)

I've lived in San Jose since 1986, and also lived here a few years before that, from 1971-1975. San Jose has always been considered Northern California, and so has SF... The division line is Big Sir - Monterey area.

Southern California stops where they stop using 'the' in front of freeway numbers. IMO, that's near SLO. Unless you're in the Bay Area, then 'Northern California' begins north of Sacto.

To quote Dudley Moore, "You're a hooker? Jesus, I forgot. And I thought I was doing GREAT with you!"

Northern Cal is considered everything from Big Sir, and everything above it, which includes Monterey, Carmel, SF Bay area, SiliconValey, San Jose (which btw is the SF Bay Area), Also the northern line is drawn inland at Fresno, as well. All you have to do is read up.. . this is not my IMO it is a fact. All you need to do is go to your search bar (WEB) and type in your search question. there is a lot of information on this subject.
