Why have O.C. Latino leaders betrayed Lynette Verino?

How ridiculous. You would think that local Latino elected officials in Orange County would get behind Lynette Verino’s campaign for the Rancho Santiago Community College District’s Board of Education. But have a look at the flier above - which is being distributed by Mark McLoughlin, who is opposing Verino. McLoughlin has picked up the support of Assemblyman Jose Solorio, State Senator Lou Correa, Mayor Miguel Pulido and Santa Ana Council Members David Benavides, Claudia Alvarez, Carlos Bustamante (who is a Republican), Sal Tinajero and Vincent Sarmiento.

There are. But the fact is McLoughlin led the charge to INCREASE our property taxes this summer, even as our economy was falling into disarray, as the Co-Chair of the Measure G campaign. For that reason, and that reason alone, he should NOT be elected to ANY Office!
